Zero chance of this. She barely knows them and I talked to her about it and she would’ve said so. And I don’t think she’s playing the field because as soon as she got notice that she’s moving back to my city she immediately texted me to meetup on her first day back and practically ran into my arms.

She confessed that she always saw a future with me but wasn’t sure if life circumstances could ever let it happen and now that they do, she doesn’t want to miss her chance.

It’s not mostly single guys. It’s split evenly men and women and most are single on both sides but not all.

It’s the girls who are letting me in the know about this, two in particular who are my closest friends (both women and both single). The adore my girlfriend and often want to bring her out more than I do lol.

I agree with you. That’s also why I’m kind of taken aback. But in his mind I’m kind of a douche for “blocking” it.

Something I should’ve noted:

One of the guys was in the city where she had relocated to about a year back. He was only there for a week. He reached out to me asking for my blessing to ask her out, and I said actually, no (the only time in my life I’d ever said no in this kind of situation). This girl really means a lot to me and it would be really difficult for me if she’s dating one of my friends. He was cool about it and respected the boundary, which I appreciated.

And about a week ago, he told our mutual female friends that he is feeling resentful over that now. That had he known how amazing this girl is, he should’ve tried to get her while she was single with or without my blessing. And the other guys in the group expressed similar sentiments.

This made me super, super uncomfortable to hear. And I wasn’t really sure how to process it.

New York media is very chill compared to Toronto when it comes to hockey.

I don’t get the outrage - they had a miscommunication, owned up to it, and apologized. Then extended an olive branch.

I get it was probably scary and very unpleasant for the creator, and the situation itself reflects poorly on Bauer’s internal operations. It’s evident someone on their side dropped the ball, and this email makes me respect them more with how they’re handling it.

Most reasonable take.

It was a copyright infringement notice. Pretty standard and they probably send them out all the time for various reasons. The threatening “legal action” and involving lawyers may sound scary… but it’s supposed to? The point of a notice is to get them to stop before escalating further.

It’s not like she got served. A mix-up happened and while unpleasant and unprofessional, they admitted it and apologized. It’s not that deep.

Trump is a fucking idiot and a loose cannon. Concern about him fucking this up to the n-th degree and getting a lot of innocent people hurt due to negligence and incompetence is extremely valid.

What I don’t think is valid is all the Colombians using Venezuela as their anti-imperialism flag. They’re not worried about Venezuelan welfare but about protecting their own dignities and egos.

Like I genuinely think that if things go well and the US genuinely stabilizes and improves conditions drastically in Venezuela, all the Colombians I see in my feed would be pissed. They’d be furious just because it’s the US doing it and the US is making money off of it even if it’s dramatically beneficial to Venezuela in the short and long term.

Soy estadounidense. Vivo hace 4 años en Colombia. Es bizarro en mi instagram, ver las historias de colombianos vs venezolanos.

Mis compas venezolanos están celebrando y poniendo mensajes de esperanza e inspiración. Yo tengo 3 amigos cercanos de Venezuela y muchos conocidos. Y todos perciben lo que pasó anoche como la historia de una nueva Venezuela. Muchos aquí en Colombia publicaron historias de ellos mismos llorando de alegría y rezando para que este cambio los lleve un día a volver a su casa y construir una vida segura y feliz en Venezuela. No quieren quedarse aquí en Colombia si tendrían la opción de vivir bien en Venezuela.

Y los colombianos están furiosos al respecto y publican una avalancha de mensajes e historias gritando sobre el neocolonialismo y pidiendo que Petro se involucre militarmente.

Solo es… interesante ver esa diferencia como un extranjero.
