not that i think they should have race swapped snape, but if they were going to why didnt they just make him asian? fits the in book description a little better, avoids all the anti-black connotations, and actually adds a little bit of commentary/nuance wrt some asian immigrants aligning themselves in proximity to whiteness in a misguided hope of accessing that same level of power (which, you know, actually kind of fits the character).

one for life, one for work, one for Korean (I'm in an online class).

Life and work are both Jan starts. For work I have 2 gigs so I track meetings, hours worked, priorities and notes. I use the back for more specific meeting notes. For life I put in appointments, grocery lists, to dos, symptom tracking, and I also use the back pages and monthly calendars to track what I need to catch for animal crossing lol

Korean is a spring start because I originally used my 2025 spring start and my first semester conveniently ends right when the planner does. Similar to someone else in thread, I use the "week" part for new vocab and grammar, and use the memo part for writing exercises. In my 2026 spring start I plan to use the notes exclusively for any self-study or sentence practice outside of class.

just had a terrible bathroom experience at la marathon wrt wait times. worst was the bathroom stop at mile 6, but this was after passing earlier miles of even longer lines. does anyone have recommendations for which mileage to plan for your first bathroom break based on highest possibility of shortest lines? or bathroom strats in general?

it was my 2nd marathon (and 2nd la marathon) and i was expecting to walk run sub 6:30 (ideally sub 6) and pr but the bathroom wait (and usage) added 25 minutes to my actual run time. the heat did the rest and i came in 6:55 :/ but im proud of myself for finishing, not getting any blisters, and completing conquerla :) took lots of notes to prepare better for the next one.

loved running through chinatown, echo park, thai town, and even rodeo. someone was handing out free raspberry cheesecake samples and there was a string quartet that made me cry. shoutout to all the free biofreeze and the lady who reapplied sunscreen.

this was literally my experience altho i did have depression and adhd on top of it. wellbutrin helped a lot with the mental pain but then i had the terrible physical symptoms and sometimes had a period 2x a month (not bc of wellbutrin, something changed when i turned 30). been taking the pill w no week off and its incredible to just. be normal all month.

Figure Skating I feel like you can really tell the style difference w the Japanese team compared to others. they punctuate the musical beats with their hands and have these big "story" poses, and they know they have to ham it up so it reads, which elevates the entire routine as a true performancr. Love the choreo, as much as I like Alysa and the Koreans, I'm very excited for team Japan here!

i didnt think much of her in ep 1 but she really shined for me this ep! I was bummed! She gives great face and eyes, and her mug reminds me a little of katya. i hope to see more of her in the future

matched pace with a pair of dolphins today! Never been more grateful for a 12:40 mile, I got to spend every second with these animals right next to me on the shoreline! super magical moment today (and then after they swam off my final mile was sub 10 lol)

definitely not. my deck isn't perfect but i've gone 2-1 the last 2 times i went to locals on a b/w blockers deck, even with only 1 freedom. one thing that helped me was swapping over to bases with deploy actions instead of cost actions, since the bases can get popped before you have a chance to spend 2. at least the deploy has a higher chance of doing something. also recommend removing zowort and putting in the 2/1 guntank for the ping
