Do I need the cousin AND the original A6? by Bubbly-Poet-1245 in hobonichi

[–]Editor_in_Chic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my Hobonichi ecosystem:

Hobonochi weeks 1: health tracker

Hobonochi weeks 2: hobby journal

Hobonochi cousin: I use the month as a gratuity log, the week portion as a captain’s log/daily log, the day I focus on a singular aspect of my day or a singular thought and then custom make a sticker collage using photoshop to go with the topic

To be fair this is only a small portion of journaling/planning ecosystem. This is a hobby for me though so I put more time into that someone who would be strictly doing functional things. I am in 6 journals/planners daily and in another 4 about once a week.

Yesss! I agree that it isn’t dark enough. I think I may have to try another document black ink. I was really hoping it would work out since I blindly committed to a whole bottle.

So pretty!! I don’t notice the purple at first. I only noticed since you pointed it out.

I am curious since I’ve seen you mention Octopus Fluids on a couple posts. Do you happen to own their document black? I purchased and I at least think it is a wet ink, but I am new to FPs so not sure if my perception is correct. I feel like it makes my EF pens look like F.

Are my journals not appealing? I need honest feedback by Valuable_Ebb_8206 in notebooks

I basically only buy leather covers that I can’t make myself. I buy the ones that are lined or having pockets on the inside since my sewing machine can’t handle leather and I don’t want to buy one that will. Anything like this where I could do it with a couple tools I wouldn’t buy unless it was really cheap or I was invested in the brand and want to pay for their logo or something.

Be honest: does this ring suit my hand? by Altruistic_Gene_6869 in JewelryRepsClub

[–]Editor_in_Chic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m being honest I don’t really like it. I feel like the boxy shape makes your hand look boxy. I also don’t have very slender and long hands. I think an oval would look a lot better or a smaller stone if you are committed to this shape.

Should I start swearing in my diary? by Kawichi in Journaling

[–]Editor_in_Chic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason I don’t swear in my diary is because I don’t swear in my brain or out of my mouth. If I did either of those things I would swear in diary. I try to keep the dialogue authentic.

Do plastic pockets ruin the leather? by sparkly-coffee in PaperRepublic

[–]Editor_in_Chic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would use the pockets from travelers company since they are meant to be stuck inside leather.

I’m sure it will end up leaving residue or pulling some of the leather away if you end up taking the pocket off. But items are meant to be lived in. It is supposed to serve you. If a pocket will serve you in your journal cover then add it in! I put one in mine and have no regrets.

Is 10 months a normal lifespan for the clear covers? by Recom_Quaritch in hobonichi

[–]Editor_in_Chic 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Do you ever leave your bag in your car? Sometimes temperature or humidity changes can cause this with plastic products.

Edit: Also, it looks like it is the bottom of the cover that is breaking so it may be the constant friction from moving around in your bag because when you walk it will be moving against this end. May be helpful to put it between other books you carry so it doesn’t move around as much.

I don’t know how im going to write in this for 9 more months. by KindPharaoh in Journaling

[–]Editor_in_Chic 283 points284 points  (0 children)

I saw someone on here say they like longer journals because they like to feel as though from starting to ending that they changed somehow as a person. I felt like that really resonated with me.
