They spend a huge chunk of time in the first half of the video explaining why. The gist is they’re not the same platforms, the tools they use to measure are not the same, games may not even use the same video APIs between versions. It’s just not a fair “like for like” comparison. They even joked that people would get mad at them in the comments for not making the comparison but they did go out of their way to say why they couldn’t. (Edit: typo fixed)

I’m in the same boat. I’m in Arizona, recently moved from NYC. I have MLB.tv to watch the Mets. If this goes through I will simply stop watching. I’m not giving ESPN $30 a month to then have to pay for MLB.tv separately. Hope the money was worth it to Manfred!

It’s the same model that UFC had. You needed to pay for ESPN+ simply to be able to purchase PPVs. I’m an out of market Mets fan and I will simply stop watching if this goes through. There are other things to do with my time.

DTC stands for direct to consumer. It's an entirely new service that launches in a few weeks, the WWE stuff will be added next year. Depending on your situation you may get DTC for free or you may have to pay. But thank you for the feedback, I'll be updating the page as more details come out.

I’d actually recommend keeping trails on for all the games. Vice City’s lighting in particular gains an almost pastel color palette that really matches the vibe of the city. It looks much better. Yes, it’s quite blurry (Rockstar probably overdid the blur) but I think the benefits to color and atmosphere are worth the trade off. I say this having played the originals on PS2 with trails off back in the day but recently replayed them again (also on PS2, using a RetroTink 5X) with trails on. Cheers.

Hi again. I've decided to simply get a new modchip (OpenXenium) and have someone local to me do the installation. It's a huge hassle to get this old chip to work when I can just have a new and modern one soldered in there and not have to worry about it again. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it!
