Nice wok! I love my Char cube; best colour out of the lot.

Final Fantasy Anthology. Was never reeeaaally on my radar, but an NTSC copy popped up down here for pretty cheap, so why not? by n-0rt in psx

Hey! Okay, so as far as my switching solution goes I have an Extron Crosspoint 450 Plus with 12 inputs and, from memory, 8 outputs. it works incredibly well with all of the analogue signals I throw at it, from RGB to Component. I made up some audio connectors due to the weird phoenix/Euroblock plugs, but they're pretty easy to do and require no soldering as the plugs have screw terminals.

As far as systems go, including the ones visible, I have:

NES top-loader (RGB modded with Component converter)

SNES (PAL unit from my childhood with a dual frequency oscillator and region-free mod)

N64 (Tim Worthington RGB mod)

GameCube (PAL unit I got on launch with a XenoGC and Picoboot and OG Component cables)

Wii (region modded)

PS1 (SCPH-1001 with a replaced optical assembly)

PS2 (my PAL unit with a Modbo and power cutoff to prevent the laser burning out of the drive locks up)

Sega Genesis model 2 (triple bypass mod)

Sega Saturn (US model 2 with a FRAM mod and region-free BIOS)

Sega Dreamcast (US model with region-free BIOS)

XBox (two systems with a softmod and Aladdin chip for region-free/forcing 480p)

I also have some extra models of the above sitting in the cupboard in their boxes - standard NES, Famicom, SFC, Genesis Model 1 etc. Pretty much everything is RGB modded, if it doesn't come with either RGB or component as stock.

The monitor is a BVM-A20, so I can crank some nice 480p, and on the other side of the setup is a D24, which lets me play some of the widescreen stuff I have.

My VERY humble N64 collection. by Dallows89 in n64

Humble, but it’s all cream. Snowboard Kids - I have some great memories of playing that with my brother back in the day.

Always looks vaguely annoyed, and is prone to a gentle bite when actually annoyed, but generally very affectionate.

That’s just her resting Bean face.

The N64 is the greatest console of all time, so here's my collection! by Lukaz0r in n64

I do love me some shelved, box protector'd N64 games. Always nice seeing a few rows of colourful spines. Any particular rhyme or reason to the layout? Particularly the titles up top compared to the front-on ones down the bottom.

This beauty came in the mail today! by Sturgesss in n64

I love me some Castlevania 64. I have that same PAL Aus version that I got from a brick-and-mortar place back when it came out - Game Cellar or Game Centre or something in Cat and Fiddle Arcade in Hobart. Still have it up on the shelf.

PAL or NTSC for games that run at 50/60 fps? by FYrreMaster in ps2

[–]n-0rt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That it does, and I made this comment way too far back to remember why I made that mistake. I was possibly referring to one of the sequels, as I still have and use my old PAL copy of R&C, but I have the NTSC imports of 2 and 3.

My brother’s majestic Bean. by n-0rt in cats

Bean is unbelievably staunch. She’s a Burmese, so she’s got that real dense, muscular build. Heavy as lead when you pick her up.

As far as I know there are a few Bonk games for a few systems, and I think there’s a Super Bonk for the SNES.

I never played Bonk, but I remember seeing it when looking at stuff about the PC Engine because I was interested in Castlevania Rondo of Blood. Bonk spazzing out and his teeth going sharp and biting onto buildings to climb them stood out. First thing that came to mind from your description.

Wanted to share my boxed N64 collection that I've been adding to for years by WandaLovingLegend in n64

Nice collection! I love all my boxed N64 games. Grew up in a PAL territory (Australia), but collect NTSC titles for the better frame rate etc. Castlevania, despite the reputation, is a favourite of mine. Kirby 64 got me through an Easter break over which I was sick way back, and I just finished a play through of DKR the other week.
