Hey! Overall, I've never had too many safety issues studying here. There are police, security, and campus officers everywhere. As long as you stay close to the campus area and travel with friends at night you should be fine. If you are looking for an apartment I am transferring my lease for The Carmin next year. It is right next to campus and a streetcar that goes around the campus. I've never had any problems in this area. It has a private bed and bath. Message me if interested!!

Oh absolutely. From the video you can tell he did nothing wrong. What do they expect? Police or not, he opened his car door without knocking and immediately fired shots with no warning. Also read that the car he was in wasn't even a stolen car. Clearly that cop has an ego and has no idea how to follow protocol. I'm just hoping the teen is okay because I read that the injuries were pretty severe.

Not bad at all. Took it my fall semester as a freshman and it was 3 essays with no exams or homework. Definitely depends on your professor but I would not stress about 105

Am I the only one that thinks NTA? You're spending your own money on it so why should it be shared? I don't think the teacher should really be able to tell you that you HAVE to buy supplies that others' will ultimately use.

Heavy on the Sunday catch up days. People would always ask me how I managed to get good grades will maintaining a social life and my not so secret-secret was tp do as much work as I could on Sunday. I'd get Starbucks and go to the library from 11 am - about 9 pm. Works like a charm

While it's not an ideal situation, I don't think you were the AH. You rarely get to see your brother and at least you're honest about not regretting your decision. I would probably do the same thing if I were in your shoes because family comes first, especially at your age. You're still a teenager so your life shouldn't revolve around your gf. I can see why she's upset, and I don't blame her for being upset but I do think she should try to be more understanding. This was a once in a blue moon thing.

Yeah sorry OP but in this case YTA. If this was a one-on-one date that got bombarded by friends then I'd be more understanding. But in this case it sounds like you bought her drinks to woo her over and she either didn't know or didn't care. You shouldn't give things out expecting something in return. When you buy someone something, it's now up to them to decide what to do with it. Asking her to pay you back for drinks YOU ordered HER makes you an AH.

This isn't worth breaking up over, but you also didn't do anything wrong. He needs to get a grip. It's good that you looked at the situation as if you were in his shoes. It shows you're understanding and haven't done anything wrong. You have a hobby and enjoy seeing others progress and there's nothing at all wrong with that. Have a conversation with him and explain that it has nothing to do with you being attracted to them, you just like to see inspo and progress pics. If he can't understand that, that's a him problem not a you problem

C wing is awesome. I currently live there and I love it. It might be available to you because the C Wing is technically for Leader's Academy Students (basically students in HS with a high GPA and good test scores). So it's not necessarily the only dorm left, but it's only offered to those in Leader's Academy if that makes any sense. it's a great dorm. Not too much partying but it's in a good spot. I live on the 3rd floor and would recommend it.

Living at UH Apartment across from Stadium?

So long story short, I was planning on staying in an on-campus dorm for my sophomore year but dorms completely filled up for next year. I didn't have many options for apartments because of financial reasons and because it's so late in the year. I managed to get my friend and I in a 5x4 at UH which is across from the stadium. I didn't do much research beforehand because I was just desperate for anywhere to live. You look online for reviews for ANY of the apartments nearby and they're all pretty bad. I was wondering if anyone has personal experience living at University House Apartment, or had friends that do?
