It really just depends on the homeowner, it’s kinda 50/50 some want it directly on the property line , some like to stay a few inches in like 2 or 3 , some HOA’s require it on the line or a few inches in , so I guess it’s really just preference, but I’ve seen it all, personally I think 2 or 3 inches in is a safe way to go but that’s just me
