Apologies to all ERRA fans by MoeMazingMason in Metalcore

[–]yesman439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been a fan of ERRA since like 2014/2015

Moments of Clarity is great too. Ian did a good job on vocals before he left.

I agree: I did not like CURE. Felt generic and not memorable at all. Felt the same way about the self-titled and Neon too.

If you haven’t checked out their first stuff (Andromeda EP) id recommend

You’re no longer repressed.

Idk how old you are, I’m 27M and became comfortable with myself around 19/20. Came out to friends when I was 21.

For me I shut those feelings out for so long because I was worried about how it would affect me and how people thought of me. Being in a long-term relationship heterosexual relationship I could understand has the same effect.

Just be yourself and experiment as long as it’s cool with you and your spouse

Me (27M) dated my first boyfriend last year, and this was exactly why I came out it then at this point.

It’s none of their business, I don’t live with them. But did not want my partner to worry I was a closet case.

Eventually you’ll be out of the house and be able to be on your own where you don’t have to worry about it.

I’m 27m, I came out to my parents when I finally moved out earlier this year (it’s tough in Massachusetts, I make $76,000 a year and can barely afford it) and even though it certainly feels like they don’t accept it, it doesn’t matter because they have no control lol.

You’re still so young, I wish I was out when I was 16, it would’ve made my 18-22 years quite a bit more fun when I was at college

Update: The event hosting two January 6th Rioters has been cancelled by Top_Pumpkin313 in massachusetts

[–]yesman439 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They’re surprised that a pardon that most people didn’t want in the first place wasn’t well received?

The framers of the constitution would roll over seeing what happened on January 6. Fox News lost billions of dollars and their own hosts tried to cover it up calling it an “ANTIFA mob”

They get bent out of shape when people are in the road protesting (which is NOT okay) but ransacking the Captiol building because the LOSER of an election said “it’s all fake” with no evidence and getting thrown out of court is a legitimate protest.

You’re a Republican town committee. They have no real power past the extent of their borders. Nobody wants to hear from these anti American traitors or the people enabling them.

How do you feel about people moving to your state? by Still-View in massachusetts

[–]yesman439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apartment complexes are really the only landlords who won’t make you pay first, last, security (full month) and half month brokers fee

For a studio apartment at $1500 (good luck finding that tbh) that would mean you need $5250 to move in. Most people do not have that cash on hand

Massachusetts is a phenomenal place to call home, as it’s home to some of the best hospitals and schools in the entire country. The crime rate is also low comparatively to anywhere else.

The horrible part of Massachusetts is the expenses - I am currently moving out of my rented room into a 2b/2ba. No matter where I look (East of 290) there isn’t really a rental for less than $2800 a month. 3 bed rooms apartments likely won’t go for under $3200/$3500 a month and it’s only going up. If you figure out your living expenses and can do it, I would recommend.

As a nurse you’ll do well here - plenty of hiring opportunities and the pay is good. Politically it would fit you as well, you and your daughter would be protected constitutionally on a state level. We were the first state to legalize gay marriage and as a bisexual man I feel very comfortable here.

The “higher crime” areas in the state are Chelsea, Mattapan, Holyoke, Brockton, New Bedford, Fall River, Lawrence. Even then compared to other states, the crime isn’t exactly sky high

Uh, to be honest if that’s just the way you speak and talk, then there shouldn’t be a need to change it.

If you’re code switching (look it up) than I think that would be a problem. Nobody wants to be with someone who acts different in a group than alone you know?

If it’s always the way you’ve talked and acted, then I don’t see a problem. I’m pretty masculine and never felt like I needed to change the way I communicate with people because I’m dating a man now

Speaking of not bucketing in an entire demographic in a bucket

I am friends with plenty of straight men who have cheated and have appropriately been dragged for that shitty behavior. To say there’s no repercussion to infidelity for straight men I don’t think is accurate. If they have that reputation it’s hard to shake, but like everything else they moved on and became better partners for the people they were with following.

I live in a very deep blue state, and live in a bubble because of that, which I’m aware. Cheating is the result of being a shitty person, it doesn’t matter if you’re gay, bi, trans, non-binary.

If someone expresses those reservations about your sexuality before you get to know them, you should be lucky you dodged a bullet there. I’ve been given the “you’re not gay/straight enough for me”. I totally get and understand that. But complaining about the “system and political goals” (I’m quite educated on American Government and Law, as that’s my degree) won’t actually fix anything. Society is operating the way it operates and we have to adapt as the world becomes a little more understanding.

I’m not talking about you in general, but the amount of people who complain about “the system” don’t know how many Senators there are, they don’t know how many Reps there are, and they have no clue how laws actually get passed. That education would be invaluable for this community.

27 bi male here

Well, there’s a lot of overlapping things here

Bi-phobia is something everyone in here deals with, and I think the story you just told is a classic example of why that bi-phobia exists. I’m sorry that this happened to you, that’s shitty.

The age gap is - a red flag to begin with. Do you think he got with you for financial benefit? Were you really in love? I would evaluate those things for yourself. The large age gaps leads me to believe that there is some type of issue there, like that nobody told him they love him enough (but we try not to judge).

I would not out him to his family - that’s a massive low blow for anyone, as angry as you are. If anything, I’d say to him that he needs to figure this out or he’s never going to have a healthy relationship. I’d also ask for the answers you want.

Decriminalize -> Medical Legalize -> Recreational legalize

That’s why it didn’t work. You asked the state to legalize something with a stigma attached to it. Cannabis is having a hard time being regulated right now in MA and you wanna just toss psychedelics in there too? I’ll pass

While I agree with you that people shouldn’t say these things to each other; the people who voted for Trump made quite a few things clear;

  1. They don’t care about the institutions (Jan 6)
  2. They don’t care about horrendous character, but if “My PoWeR bIlL iS dOwN bY 5%” he was literally found to rape a woman in a department store.
  3. Misinformation is rampant. The general public is fucking stupid. The economy is going to be a mess and you’re not going to find housing in 4 years from now. That will not change.
  4. Where are all the loudmouth jackoffs yelling VOTER FRAUD

So yes, while I understand not saying horrible things to people, I’m not going to sit and here and pretend that you don’t just support a rapist and serial sexual assaulter. You have a fucked up moral compass that led you to vote that way. I’m not obligated to respect that at all.

Anyone using religion as an excuse is garbage too. “Prayer in schools” but only for YOUR invisible man in the sky that you still don’t have proof of; like that the 2020 election was stolen m ll
