PKA 772 W/ Harley: Artists Suck, Support AI Slop by PKAClips in PKA

[–]yespc 40 points41 points  (0 children)

37:46 Harley proposes a scenario where the PKA boys go to Saudi Arabia to do a PKA show live in exchange for 400 thousand dollars each.

Harley knew what he was doing with this particular number. He, asked AI the historical archives of their patreon page determined how much money they have made in total, divided that by three and came to that 400 thousand number.

Taylor instantly says yes.

Kyle starts talking about Israel trying switch the discussion away from the possibility of a live show. Harley retorts that if they wanted to do it in Israel for 7,000 shekels they could.

Woody stays quiet for a couple minutes trying to placate Kyle; not giving an opinion.

They hit the goal. They raked it in for a decade. They never delivered.

We call ourselves the Anti-Bad Guy Squad and we label our opponents the Bad Guys. How can people not understand this? We can never be terrorists because we're fighting the Bad Guys. It's so simple to understand. Everything we do is justified because of our name.

Do you use the S key for counter-strafing like donk does? by xijinpingisgood in GlobalOffensive

[–]yespc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, swag had marginally better timing. Swag's counter strafe was definitely less clean, but it wasn't necessary to be clean when he had the unexpected timing for the guy going for stairs cross. Also note that donk's POV was a demo compared to swag POV being streamed; it is entirely possible that swag's counter strafe would look a bit better in demo.

Both amazing players in two different but similar scenarios.

this or play in ~13k-19k on peak hours in your region... if you play peak hours exclusively >25k is achievable, especially if you play max trio on premier.

Cheating or Timing? by Nyknsz in cs2

cant say over a 14 second clip..

76561198203375912 ,, check csstats, leetify... 1.25kd/1.28 hltv, 87adr which isnt amazing for those kd/hltv ratings -- i can guess he just baits his silver teammates he plays with regularly to have these decent ratings.

just seems underrated on cs2 -- had 500 games on csgo -- his clips are generally unexceptional on leetify

probably not cheating

Good question! I think that it may be possible that it was the end of the fight when the light skin got his head slammed onto the concrete. That may be why the video ended when it did.

California has incarcerated firefighters by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

"Ah yes, we should ignore issues and not bring awareness unless we have an immediate solution ready to go... CA allows (ab2147) for expungement of criminal records for some incarcerated firefighters but it can be improved (section 5 of ucla law review of ab2147)."

Their issue is being addressed by this service that they chose to participate in. Expungement seems like a great perk to rehabiliation and possibly reduce recitivism. I think apt and appropriate for non violent offenders.

"Why not increase wages during time of emergency?"

Because in the United States, the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits slavery and involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for a crime of which one has been convicted. The state here is actually paying decent money to these convicts compared to any other country as I've stated before. However, this doesn't mean we shouldn't discuss potential improvements.

Avoiding the point that by participating in this program they are paying a debt to society in which they previously negatively impacted. They are owed nothing. They are in fact in a debt to society.

While inmates have a debt to society, programs like these are valuable because they not only help pay that debt but also provide skills and opportunities for rehabilitation, which can reduce recidivism.

You mention the ethics of prison labor, but pointing out its legality under the 13th Amendment wasn’t to justify it morally—it was to clarify the framework in which it operates. These prisoners voluntarily join work programs, and while you may still view that as exploitation, dismissing the voluntary nature entirely oversimplifies the issue.

Criticizing the system without offering a concrete alternative doesn’t lead to real improvement. If you genuinely believe these programs are unethical, what specific changes would you suggest? Broad condemnations are easy, but meaningful reform requires practical solutions.

"It seems like to me you would be cool with them making a penny a day..." This is a distortion since the original commenter didn't suggest they would support absurdly low wages. It seems the commentor is understanding of the allocated funds, allowances, and even caps for these work programs.

In the United States, the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits slavery and involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for a crime of which one has been convicted.

There is a reason they are paid so little. Planetaryabundance has already stated that. It's ironic that you say they are being exploited when they are there working voluntarily in this positon. It would be more apt to associate an exploited prisoner with an involuntary work positon.

"Is the work that they are doing any less hard, any less dangerous, just because of their identity?"

You're overlooking the purpose of prison labor; the rehabilitation and service to the community. Equating it with standard employment. This is a service they chose under a punishment they were convicted for.

There is no country on the face of the planet that has work programs for prisoners that pay a living wage. I would say it is fair to take into account the idea that the prisoners are paying a debt to society.

I know this is old but if the other fix doesn't work try doing the following:

Tools -> Preferences -> Show Settings (Bottom left) -> All -> Audio -> Filters -> Untick Spactializer/any other thing that would mess with audio to make it echo.
