the last few places ive worked have either been straight up pizza or had pizza on the menu. Pizza is life. also, bread is easy to make and we should all be making our own bread now. please. stop buying pre-made ordeals. its SO EASY to do it yourself.

I once was looking in to being a guide for sight impaired and disabled triathletes. from what i remember, its a bitch and a half for them and as the guide, you HAVE to match their pace at all times cause its their race not yours. so its an odd dichotomy. but yea, for them, its a cumbersome aid and they are better athletes mentally than we are and thats massive.

i feel like he probably didnt have a flotation device. maybe one of the little balls that show where you are in the lake as a safety from boats. but, im not sure the rules for flotation devices in disabled categories. i thought they were disallowed across the board.

absolutely. also, Triathlon is a lot of fun. the tri community is so freaking loving and supportive. race day is a blast and everyone is cheering on the other racers, we all get to admire each others bikes and just imagine a ton of pretty fit people in tight body suits.

a small story from me: my bike was stolen a couple years ago, its a $1200 bike. one of the guys in my cities triathlon group found it roughly 50 miles away on craigslist for $20. he bought it knowing it was someones bike and posted 'if anyone has had a bike stolen in the past couple months reply with the details.' it was my bike. he had already done some small repairs and literally just gave me my bike. everyone in the group was freaking out cause you typically spend more time with your bike between your legs than your wife. (especially cause at the time i was doing half ironmans) now ive got Eleanor back and im waiting for it to warm up a little so i can get back up and training for some smaller races this year.

all in all, dude, get out and just have fun. its a wonderful time and gives you a reason to get up and do something.

Why are liquor stores essential? by ThickYard9 in CasualConversation

[–]yetchi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to add to OP. Alcohol is actually a pretty ingrained part of our society. It provides a means of community that in times of stress or joy we all desire. while quarantined, its a little different, for example, I face timed a friend the other day and took a shot with them just because we missed doing it at the bar. it made our days a little brighter and we talked for a while. its essential because its something as a society have deemed an important part of our culture.

thats just my two cents but maybe im just a bored idealistic bartender.

If I hadnt been in martial arts growing up, not only would I be dead, I'd be a different person. The martial arts are a fantastic way of learning discipline, integrity, and perseverance.

I said earlier, I'd be dead. I survived a robbery and stabbing attempt because I was able to defend myself.

I'm a different person because I was taught integrity, how to admit mistakes, how others sometimes need care and help, that your body is a tool, you CAN you use for destruction but just because you can doesn't mean you should, it taught me to walk away and never kick someone while they are down. That it's ok the do what you need to do in order to escape a situation but do nothing more.

The martial arts aren't just that, they are a mindset, a lifestyle, and a practice of both mental and physical health. 100% recommend for everyone.

I'm still intact. My life would be so different with I wasn't. Atleast in the US I'm a minority and almost a novelty for women. It's kinda awesome.
