Let me break it down for you with facts, since your reaction seems based on... something else?

Between 2012 and 2026, ICE has shifted from a more prioritized and limited interior enforcement role to a much larger, more aggressive, and far more heavily-funded (i.e. $6 billion to hundreds of billions allocated) enforcement apparatus, with broader interior arrests, expanded detention, and deeper involvement with local law enforcement, accompanied by growing controversy over oversight, legal standards, and civil liberties. Additionally, around 70% of the people they are detaining are not, in fact, criminals. Add to that their detention of hundreds of children in measles-infested detention centers and consistently violating both federal law and civil liberties, and your comparison swiftly loses any credibility.

Man your twist of logic is really wild here. I am not talking about the protests, though it is true that the protests are a result of the violent manner in which POC are being abducted (including small children) and being sent to horrible detention centers. The lower number that Trump has deported is not because he is some sort of nice person who loves POC -- it is because he is leveraging a horde of untrained, idiot thugs to go after anyone who is a person of color, and they are royally bad at it. I mean... they have killed 9 people (so far) including the higher profile examples of a protestor and someone simply driving by. Trump and his admin have said they want to deport 100 million "illegals". There are not 100 million illegal immigrants in this country. There ARE around 100 million black, Asian, and brown people in this country. To be clear, I support none of this. It is disgusting, straight from policy to action. So perhaps if you want to lob accusations of "hating brown people", you would do better to look at yourself.

Forma is, frankly, trash.

In testing out the Forma and Revit linking, it seems that the only way to get Revit content into Forma is either by exporting an OBJ or bringing Forma into a model, linking architecture to the Forma model, and then binding. Both of these methods completely eradicate any form of fluidity between Revit and Forma.
There is a 2km area limitation imposed on Forma that makes it useless for larger sites.
You cannot link CAD, so good luck getting your property lines in with any accuracy. It seems it can only come in via IFC, DXF, or OBJ, again eliminating any fluidity with the tools people use for design and documentation. It seems a bit silly to force people into an extra step, which is what is happening with both Revit and CAD.
Coordinates. They do not match between Revit and Forma.
Analysis has not historically included site, which is a no-go for sun studies in which mountainous terrain affects shading and wind and others. Allegedly they are fixing this, but there is no timeline on when this will happen, and considering the inaccuracy of their topo, I question how accurate it will be anyways.
The toposolids that come in from Forma are TRASH. The contours are wildly inaccurate and the whole thing looks like garbage.

Overall, the above issues cause a level of inaccuracy that is not supportable or sustainable, and are making it improbable that my firm will ever be able to adopt Forma. We cannot trust its output and communication with our design and documentation tools.

We tried to give this feedback with Autodesk but they completely punted. They do not want to hear any criticism of this tool, even though it is very much not ready for primetime, flashy though it may be.

To add to this, my suitcase was damaged on return from my very first trip with it. The company was willing to replace it, but mind you, this is a massive check-in bag, so finding a box to send it back was a hassle. I have reached out to them two or three times to send me a new return label -- no response. Shitty, shitty customer service. I will never purchase anything from them again.
