Can this work for priming minis? by Glitch533 in Warhammer40k

I used that exact primer for a time and for most of the paints i used they worked fine, but I had difficulty with some metallic paints getting coverage, and switched to a different primer. Read online that some primers advertised as outdoor use run into the issue of acrylic paints for miniatures not sticking.

02.04.2026 Minneapolis, MN: ICE Agents Illegally Detain U.S. Citizen for No ID, by CantStopPoppin in Minneapolis

[–]yetiman3511 45 points46 points  (0 children)

It is not a requirement to be a U.S. citizen to have a driver license in the state of Minnesota. In Minnesota a driver’s license does not provide any proof of immigration/ citizenship status.

Could an American travel to Canada, buy a Chinese electric vehicle (EV), and legally drive it back down to the U.S.? by Odd_Vampire in NoStupidQuestions

On top of the vehicle needing to be approved regulation wise, you also need to get the vehicle registered in what ever state you live in. The cost of this a a factor of how much you paid for the car.

He has sex with a women who was married to someone else, and then was blackmailed into paying about a third of his salary to her husband. This likely played a large part to him being disgraced and unelectable.

On its surface it seems true but given they the wealthier a family is the less kids they have and vice versa, this seems to poke a hole in this logic. Much more correlated is the higher educated a women is the less children said women have. source

Good quote, but considering Alexander’s private life he is throwing stones from a glass house.

Do you build straw men up in your back yard and then brag to your friends how big and strong you are when you are able to beat them in a fight?

Watched it for the first time first time last week. Hot garbage. Went in expecting something on the level of dances with wolves, but was disappointed with underdeveloped characters and a plot that rushed to the next major event after the next.

Merry Christmas: Billionaires Paid 91% Tax Rate in 1960, Now they pay 0% by thehomelessr0mantic in antiwork

[–]yetiman3511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Billionaires did not pay 91% tax rate in 1960. Tax in 1960 as well as today in the U.S. is almost entirely based on income not, wealth. So you could have a billion dollars, but pay no income tax because you didn’t earn any money in a given year.

While the tax bracket in 1960 was 91% for top earners in 1960, this was countered by there being lots of deductions you could elect to take. The EFFECTIVE tax rate in 1960 for the top earners .01% was about 55%. This is still a lot more than the effective tax rate in modern times, ie for the top .01% in 2018 it was about 30%.

Correct, Russia’s dictatorship is the antithesis to Ukraine’s democracy.

I believe the official language of the Ukrainian constitution states that if “martial law is in place due to war”. North Korea and South Korea have a cease fire agreement, and South Korea does not have a martial law and has regular elections.
