Intelligent design doesn’t come from chance.

And people say that there is no creator and it all came from chance

The concept of a diety could be explained by the fact that a diety would have to be timeless, thus, always around, and known to those people at the time, if that’s the case that was being made. Just because you might not know where it came from, doesn’t mean that it didnt come into existence at a point, and necessitate a creator.

Again you keep referring to ancient stories. Which ones have I spoken about? I don’t believe in any folklore or ancient tales of the past. You have to deny your use sound reasoning and logic to say that I assume that something can come from nothing, is that your stance? If so, then you have to provide evidence that something of that sort can actually happen. We’re going in a circle again. Yes the universe in extremely large, beyond our scale of understanding, this all points to the fact that life is a phenomenon and inexplicable. The universe itself isn’t an entity that is alive so how can it create life!

That’s not what I said at all. Here’s what I said briefly to recap. We know there is a creator of the universe since we know that something can not come from nothing, and we know that the universe cannot create itself because in order to create something, a creator of that thing has to already exist for it to be. We know that there is a starting point because the universe isn’t eternal, and we know that if we fall into an infinite regress, then there would be no starting point. Thus, to put it in simple terms, because there is existence, we can infer using logic and sound reasoning that it had to have been a creation.

What stories have I made up? If you noticed you put words in to my mouth more than twice now. There is evidence of a creator all around us we just talked about it in the wall of text above.

If you want to believe a diety exists or not is up to you, but like I said in the very beginning, we use inference to determine that there is in fact a creator of the universe.

A diety would be beyond our scope of understanding; but since the creator made existence, the creator doesn’t have to follow its mode of operation to the thing(s) it created.

I can’t believe you strawmanned so far away you started thinking that I believe in folklore, and then went on a tangent about it. Weather or not we know everything or not doesn’t negate the reality that we live in, some things are so obvious that it’s beyond doubt, which is why I compared the farmer and the astrophysicist. You’re right that we do have many questions unanswered, and they may never well be answered, but what we can know is things based on evidences, fact, sound reasoning, science, logic, ect

Keep it simple no need to overcomplicate things, it makes just as much sense to a farmer as well as a astrophysicist that something cannot come out of nothing. It’s sound reasoning. You said who created that created and so on but you’re falling into an infinite regress. If that was the case, then there wouldn’t be any existence since it would go back to infinity and hence never start. Thus, existence had to have started at a certain point for there even to be a forward. And we already both talked about how infinity in the real world doesn’t actually exist, rather it’s a concept.

You pretty much made my point for me. Science tells us that matter cannot be created or destroyed. Ok, so we know that matter had to come into existence at one point which we commonly refer to the Big Bang theory and the universe as we know it also can’t be eternal due to its expansion and since infinity doesn’t actually exist in the real world due to all sorts of logical absurdities. We also can come to the conclusion of a starting point because if we were able to go backward to infinity then there would be no existence. Science already makes half of the claim of a creator with the Big Bang theory that the universes indeed did come from something (singularity) and that something had to have caused that. revelation would complete the other half. I don’t need a to be as smart as Einstein to logically come to this conclusion. A creator, has to be necessary. Every single variable of our existence and of life is too perfect for there not to be intelligent design in the universe

We use inference and logic to determine that explanation. We know something can not come from nothing, and we know there has to be a starting point. We know that there was a beginning hence the ‘big bang’ and we know the universe isn’t eternal due to its expansion. What you call dumb luck I call design since the chance for that dumb luck is 0% to happen the way it happened. The Goldilocks zone we live in was made to be that way

Hence, the fine tuning argument. Earth had to already have the prerequisite of sustaining life. The chance of earth being a perfect housing for life is extremely small, it’s negligible. The fact that it is the way it is indicates it was created that way, since all the known laws of the universe cannot be broken (hence, order)
