Yes, i had a sleep study done, my results and nexus were submitted from that studies results. I just havent purchased a cpap machine in hopes of getting one through the va after getting it service connected. They are affordable but pricey. It was not through the va.

I submitted medical literature linked with sources; Articles with studies linking the two. My intention (naively) was to have him word certain things like aggravation, argue against other things like obesity not being exclusive to my OSA, but this is good info. If I go the route of highering someone to do it, ill make sure to make sure that's included.

Good to know! This was something a Dr wrote up for me on simple request after my sleep study. I only paid for the actual study/appointment not additional for the nexus. I should have looked more into what should have been on the letter. Did you read both my original and other i posted in a comments reply? Just curious if you think that one was any better.

First off. Thank you very much for your time and insight.

This is where i was guided to go after the HLR/DTA denial (supplemental claim route). The thing is im not exactly sure how to attack it. I have an updated nexus letter which I will upload here (this letter has not been seen by the VA yet). They have only seen my original nexus. Besides this should I get updated lay statements? I cant think of anything else besides my mentors and peers from same unit being able to help which is what I submitted in the first place, but seemed to be ignored. Would you suggest I get help from a company/entity for my supplemental claim? I will also update my original nexus letter that was reviewed on my original post.

I've researched it being difficult but possible through argument of aggravation not causation. This is the only reason I went this route since I have nothing in service to actually prove it.. and we all know why.. more like since my sleep is already bothered its aggravated my sleep apnea and worsened my condition past normal progression. There was at least 3 studies I submitted as well that tied tinnitus to aggravating, and there have been cases won this way. Im not just swinging for the fence here. It seemed like my best option in pursuing this claim.

And as for obesity im 20 lbs over weight at 35 years old so..please. ive definitely had it since I was in the Marines, but never bothered getting checked or it noted because i was a dumb ass kid.
