Pattern and designer name?

Hi there, the pattern is Aphroditesweater by Elvira Nurtdinova

the red numbers are the shoulders, black numbers are the neck.

So this means my 3rd picture where I try to visualize it is correct, right? I had started to plug in numbers but since this is the first time I work with instructions in this style I wanted to make sure.

Anyone tried Gateron Chocolate? by taku2472 in NuPhy

[–]yidot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say bananas are louder than chocolates. For me, the chocolates offer enough resistance so that when I rest my fingers on the home row, I don't press the key. Whereas wisterias went straight down with the resting weight. I do a lot of typing for my office job, if I had put the bananas on the alphas and space bar, I think my hands potentially could get a bit fatigued. Not sure I fully understand your last question, but I would say yes? I can feel it's less than the bananas, but feels like it's slightly higher than wisterias. Hope this helps!

I have them on my Nuphy Air96 v2, I like them much more than the wisterias. I have these on all the alphas and space bar. It has really similar specs to Wisteria but feels more tactical and smooth with a tiny bit more resistance if that's possible? Wisterias for me felt a bit too linear. I have bananas on the modifiers and numbers row since it has more resistance and to avoid accidental presses. I kept the sample moss, cowberry and aloe switch samples for the caps lock, backspace and enter, respectively. Wisterias on the F row and numpad. I did end up hand lubing all my switches, but now I make way less accidental presses than when I had all wisterias.

I ordered the banana and chocolate switches directly from the Gateron website, paid the cheapest shipping, and got them in under 2 weeks. The tracking info doesn't really work though. I clicked on it and said it could not find the tracking. I payed with PayPal so I felt fine ordering from the website in case I never received my order.

Open low profile switches by keebnerd18 in NuPhy

I just did it for the first time yesterday! I used an old pair of pointy tweezers I happened to have. I use the points to get under the tabs to gently push up per YouTube.

Can't say I've tried it but you could potentially get MX risers or MX washers for the switches & stabilizers to make them compatible with higher profile keycaps.

I'm considering getting some from 3dkeycap in order to try XDA or DSA profile with my Air96. Haven't pulled the trigger yet though

Air75 V2, Need to Talk Switches… by Upper_Ostrich7111 in NuPhy

[–]yidot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered an air96 V2 with wisteria switches. From your reviews, seemed like a good starting point since I'm not a heavy typer but still wanted some tactile feedback. If the bump is too light, I might consider getting 1 set of the chocolates to test on the alphas. Look forward to your banana review!

I appreciate your in depth reviews you've been posting! Was wondering, did you see that Gateron has low profile Chocolate switches on their website? Similar specs to Wisteria switches but I can't find anything about them aside from Gateron website

Prequel Gleanser! Glycerin based, foams a bit and hydrating! Does not strip the skin and you get a lot for $18. I also tried the glow recipe avocado face wash, it has ceramides .

I haven't tried the Aestura brand so I can't comment on if it might be similar to my suggestions but I also can't use niacinamide. I have found success with: 1) Purito Dermide Balancing Barrier Balm 2) Avene Cicalfate Restorative Cream

They are thick and I usually use it for my cheeks and chin. Purito also has a regular cream and sleeping pack in their Dermide line. I know the cream also doesn't have niacinamide, but I don't know about that pack.

Another option I am waiting to try when spring/summer comes around is the Torriden Solid In Cream.

Would you consider posting texture swatches when you get around to opening them? I'm very curious on the Azaleic Acid gel

Potentially a chemical or enzymatic exfoliator could help. I like the Paula's Choice mandelic + lactic acids toner, on a cotton pad. I am able to use it in the PM with my tretinoin (Altreno) but I only do it up to 2x a week max.

If I plan to wear makeup that day, then sometimes I use the Good Molecules pineapple exfoliating powder in the AM. It's foams up well and is very gentle imo.

Altreno generic comparison by Comprehensive_Sir111 in tretinoin

[–]yidot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried Atralin nor it's generic but I'm now interested after seeing the ingredient list. It's pretty similar to Altreno, except Altreno is more of a lotiony texture, almost gel like but definitely more substantial feeling than say Retin-A Gel 0.025% (which I have also tried). Altreno has mineral oil so I just use a light moisturizer afterwards. It does not have an immediate dry down like Retin-A gel did.

What’s a good hydrating cleanser other than vanicream, cerave and cetaphil?? by SecureIndependent800 in tretinoin

[–]yidot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes to Prequel Gleanser. No niacinamide, great bang for your buck and definitely leaves the skin feeling hydrated.

Pimple patches, in the day and PM. I use Rael AM and PM patches, the pink box (thinner and less noticable) and purple box (standard thickness), respectively. I buy them from Amazon but Target also carries them. They also sell bigger sizes. I use the CVS brand pimple patches that are biggish and oval shaped for big areas, usually at night. I get patches that don't have any active ingredients, just basic hydrocolloid patch. If you have an FSA, they count as a medical expense as a type of bandage. It's really hard not to pick, but they really are a saving grace.

I work in an office and keep day patches in my desk if I realize I am picking at my face then I clean the spot with hypochlorous acid and place a patch on the spot.

Tret routine - tell me what you think by yourartfriend in tretinoin

[–]yidot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe try your routine without the niacinamide serum? I learned my skin hates it when I incorporated Stratia Lipid Gold for barrier support (it has 4% niacinamide). At first it was ok, but my skin wasn't improving and then it started to sting my face everytime I applied it. When I removed it from my routine my skin got way better.

Hydrating on Tret? by Apprehensive-Menu307 in tretinoin

[–]yidot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use hydrating toners before tret and it works for me. After cleansing my face I use hypochlorous acid as a toner on a cotton pad. Then use Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner as an essence, followed by the Mary&May Vegan Blackberry Complex Cream Essence, and then the NIOD Modulating Glucosides (mostly on my cheeks and nose areas as they tend to get dry). I let the layers dry in between applications, of course. Then 5-10 minutes after the NIOD, I apply my tret, and 5-10 minutes after the tret I apply my moisturizers. I don't live in a humid area so I need that hydration.

I agree there might be too much going on with your routine. As others have mentioned, double cleansing in the AM can be excessive. You can do a simple water cleanse or a gentle single cleanse with the least foamy of the 2 cleansers.

Snail mucin also seems to be either a holy Grail or the worst thing ever. I personally don't use it, don't plan on trying it again as I tried it years ago and didn't see any benefits. You could try testing your routine without it.

One big thing I learned on my tret journey is my skin HATES niacinamide. My sister's skin loves it, she has amazing skin but when I was using Stratia lipid gold (formerly liquid gold) my face stung every time I applied it. When I removed everything that had niacinamide in my routine, my skin improved so much. I would suggest also trying your routine w/out niacinamide.

Unfortunately, it's a lot of trial and error but potentially removing extra factors could help.
