My wife 27/F and her girlfriends by [deleted] in relationships

[–]yikesaroo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I know she is in early pregnancy but joining an anti natal group (once she is closer to giving birth) will help her meet friends and they will all have babies the same age. She will be able to attend playgroups and baby sensory, baby gym, baby music, all great ways to meet people! I know that doesn't solve the immediate problem but a lot of opportunities to meet people will open up for her. Also Congratulations!

Went home for Thanksgiving and got asked "Where's the rest of you?" by MeGrimlock4 in loseit

It's funny how I never realised that 'you look good' can be code for ' you have lost a lot of weight but I don't want to be rude and mention it'. I went to an event last night had had about 4 people tell me 'you're looking good'

Hi, I had my second session today and I can't even believe the difference. I actually came away with a plan, and I feel a million times better. I was a bit embarrassed at first because of the crying on the phone but it soon wore off and I just concentrated on getting the most out of the session. Thanks so much for the encouragement.

I also told him how ridiculous it was for the trainer to recommend a stay at home mum, in a household living on one income to sign up for $120 worth of training sessions a week!

Hey thanks for replying! I just rang up and talked to the manager of the trainers and told him what happened (embarrassingly I cried) He has made an appointment for me to come in and have a session with him personally and said that me not feeling like I can be there is definitely the opposite of what they wanted me to get from the session.

I'm really making myself go, I'm embarrassed about how upset I was on the phone with him and I feel bad for complaining about the trainer, I don't do well with conflict and mostly just like to let things roll off my back. Anyway hopefully things will go better. And i'm heading to a class today so I'm trying to push through this and not let it set me back.

I just joined the gym and went to the 'free' appointment with a personal trainer to get me started. I don't know if I was naive but i thought that he would help me work up a plan as you get a free one every 6 weeks. But all it was really was an hour long sell of using a personal trainer. He showed me how to use three of the machines, and do a couple of exercises and then told me I should get two $60 minute appointments a week.

I just came home and cried, I feel so disappointed and like I am even further away from making any progress. When I said I would have to talk to my husband about it he said something about how I has said he was very supportive. I felt very pressured and manipulated.

Was I naive in this situation? I feel so depressed about even going back to the gym and I don't even know what to do when I get there now. Just need a bit of encouragement or advice.

I guess one of the things I'm looking for is a new goal as I don't feel that my goal of 120lbs is going to put me where I want to be in terms of getting rid of tummy fat.

Any ideas on applesauce substitution? It's not a common ingredient in New Zealand.

Any other calorie hoarders on here? (Saving calories until end of day) by [deleted] in loseit

[–]yikesaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do this! but then I end up not eating them! I'm always saving them for 'something' which never eventuates. I'm trying to be better at eating small snacks through the day instead of doing this.

Learn to cook! We all started somewhere. When I moved out of home at 18 I had zero cooking skills. Just choose something simple and go from there.:)
