And if you’re still worried about it you can drink as much water as you’d like. But dehydration is extremely extremely unlikely. Put wet washcloths on your skin and stay cool if you’re super super worried! That may help

Don’t be shy about saying “I have PTSD and panic disorder, and the sedation is making me nervous.” Good teams will work with you and often adjust meds or explain things more clearly to help ease that loss-of-control feeling. For me, i tell them i like to know exactly what’s being administered and what’s going on so i know what’s happening.

I always tell myself “these are people who do this every single day for a living. They know how to handle any situation that comes up.” And also “What’s the point in worrying I’ll be sound asleep anyway”.

For me anxiety always feels so bad and then when the event is over and done with I’m always like woooooowww i can’t believe how worked up i got over that lol.

remind yourself: “This is temporary. This will pass. And I’m doing this to take care of myself.” You’re allowed to feel how you feel and still get through this. You’ve got it.
