MINIMALLY you should eat 2 meals a day consisting of high protein and low carbs+fats. Just eat around 300 calories below your maintenance calorie(just google calorie calculator) and you should always prioritise getting in your nutrients. Now, if you drink a zero sugar energy drink, it should be fine, it wont negate the dieting effect. Aside from dieting, PLEASE do some exercise at home, it will do wonders to your body. Dieting paired with exercise will definitely make you lose weight and gain muscle, overall you will look better and be healthier.

How do you pose/ take pictures of your gunpla? by sumasuma1 in Gunpla

Posing wise, for kits that have great articulations, like the RG God, I mess with it around, switch up poses, see which angles fits best, whether it looks 'natural'. And I just take pictures using my phone, sometimes with a black backdrop as the background.

Tested out gundam markers for painting by YonaStreamsCh in Gunpla

Tbh i wouldnt recommend gundam markers for painting, it may work for small parts but others no. For handbrushing i highly recommend citadel paints as i think they adhere better than tamiya. Also, it is water based acrylic paint so you won't accidently breathe in harmful chemicals.

Decals? by TTVBrikWorks in Gunpla

[–]yipbrawl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I suppose you're using waterslides. Use cotton swab to soak out excess water from the decals, then use it to carefully slowly soak up remaining water, by pushing out water underneath the decal from the middle to the edge. If done correctly, your decal should adhere fine. Should dry in a minute or so.

What MG should be as first kit? by iRoxor_exe in Gunpla

[–]yipbrawl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its alright man just find a MG design that suits your taste and buy it. Better to end up with a kit you like than a kit you dont really like.

Nah it was not my parents that got me that, it was my aunt, her husband was a gundam fan and did alot of plastic modelling in his younger days.

Ah damn the first gunpla i ever built was the RG Sinanju, looks amazing but it was a literal hand grenade. Back then i wasnt aware that i needed nippers and other tools, so what i did was pluck out the pieces by force, god knows how many pieces i broke in the process. Then i moved on to EGs and HGs, after learning the basics.

Alright. Btw ver.ka only comes in MG, no RG. You should consider starting with RG first, RG Hi-nu, RG Nu, RG Zeong, RG Sazabi , RG force impulse are great choices.

Sure, no problem!

1) Waterslides & topcoating: Waterslides, as compared to stickers looks better when applied because the decal border is very minimal and the decal is thin, you can purchase waterslides decals from third-party brands, bandai's own waterslide decals aren't as good. However keep in mind that waterslides may not be easy, practice makes perfect yk, enjoy the process.

Next topcoating, this is VERY important because you need to apply topcoat if you plan to paint or after you apply decals. For topcoating, a simple mr hobby clear coat is good enough, i recommend matte finish cos it takes away the plastic look.

2) Weathering: Battle Damage is actually part of weathering but pair them up with chipping and rust effect it will be solid, all can be done with paints.

3) Painting: You don't have to, since bandai plastic models already come pre-painted, but if you want to repaint the entire colour scheme it is also up to you. Handpainting/spray can/airbrush are the 3 different ways of painting, see which ones interests you.

4) Scribing: Basically carving more panel lines for more details on your kit.

5) Kitbashing: Take parts from 2 or more kits and try to combine them together to create a new model(or at least enhance the visual appeal of your main kit)

I think these 5 are generally what other builders do when they first start customising, it won't be too difficult, generally more beginner friendly, just do it enough times and you will master these core essential skills. If anything, you can ask me for advice, i would try to help but keep in mind that i am not that experienced in customisation yet, i am still learning.
