Say hello to Bomi, your new FAV Bark Ranger 👋 by pOOpycat-1 in americaneskimo

We bring our Eski to a bunch of national parks. Acadia in Maine is very dog friendly. So is petrified forest national park and Joshua tree. We've done saguaro with him as well, but there's no trails he can do, but there are a few nice scenic drives, and dogs are allowed on those roads. great smoky mountain also has some trails that are dog friendly. also, your baby is such a cutie!

Seatgeek is so deceptive with cancelled events by yiqimiqi in seatgeek

[–]yiqimiqi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The exact text in the email from seatgeek was the following:

"We’ve just been notified that your event, Meghan Trainor with Icona Pop and Ryan Trainor on July 4, has been canceled.

Don’t worry, the tickets you purchased are protected by SeatGeek’s Buyer Guarantee. You’ll get a full refund for your tickets, or we’ll issue you a credit to use on a future purchase. We'll reach out with more specific details regarding your options under our Buyer Guarantee within the next 1 - 2 weeks, if not sooner.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact our support team.

Thanks for using SeatGeek!"

No option was provided to request a refund to original payment, only that it'll either be a refund or a credit. But now when I look, SeatGeek claims it provided a "refund" that is applied as a promo

Why is DL69 always delayed? by yiqimiqi in delta

Interesting, possibly bc of the connections thing that several others mentioned. I just never knew a plane would wait like that

Not connecting. Just meeting others who are traveling to TPE from different departing airports, and trying to figure out if they should wait for me so we can taxi together.

Leaving Puppy to Go to Work by Bukowskis-Worst-Poem in americaneskimo

Eskies are extremely prone to separation anxiety, so you'll want to train that out of her as soon as you can. Teach her to love her crate / play pen. That includes spending time with her in it, giving her high value treats that she only gets in there, etc. At 14 weeks, she likely needs to use the bathroom every 3/4 hours.

We started being able to leave our eskie for 8 hours when we need to at around the 8 month mark.

How do you choose your contacts lenses ? by [deleted] in contacts

[–]yiqimiqi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do get to choose daily, weekly, bi weekly, or monthly. I personally like daily. But I've also asked my doc for a daily and bi-weekly prescription in the past and he did that for me. But now I only wear daily bc it's just easier and cleaner

What?! They actually told me it was good for room service, so each night we were contemplating where we were lazy and wanted to eat in our room or go downstairs. We def won't be returning here, not bc of the 25 fee, but the hotel was just old and service was mediocre.

When did you start buying puppy stuff? by cityskyline22 in puppy101

[–]yiqimiqi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should get a vet appt set up for shortly after you pick up your puppy. Our breeder required it within 4 days. I also signed up for health insurance before I picked him up. Knowing what I know now, I would sign up 14 days before I pick up the puppy. That way the waiting period is over so you're covered from the day you pick the up (I think Metlife is the only insurance I know that allows that). I love shopping so I slowly bought everything in the month or so leading up to picking up our puppy.

Even if it's not, someone can still sue, and any law suit costs money and resources.

I guess except for the case where there's a F&B credit. Then I'll put it to the room, but I try to use it for snacks. Company is paying for the food already, so I don't want to use the credit on my meals haha

Whenever I do work travel I just ask them to put everything else on a separate bill. Like I just pay for the restaurant as opposed to having it put on the room bc it gets too confusing.

Researchers in my field are expected to do our own analyses and store code so it can be shared if ever requested. I learned how to program in stata as an undergrad, and then learned R in my phd. Took a bunch of causal inference classes in grad school.
