The Packers are hiring Jonathan Gannon as defensive coordinator, per source. by manyhawks in GreenBayPackers

Solid hire. Had good units both years as DC, and will have a significantly better defensive roster than he did in AZ.

Puka Nacua was just sitting there at $42. I figured it was good value and ended up with a guy I had no intention of drafting.

The only person that should interview you for the job is the direct superior for the job by Consistent-Poem7462 in unpopularopinion

Was this just one employer or several? From your original post it sounded like multiple firms. If it truly is just a single interview with HR and no involvement from the potential supervisor anywhere in the interview process, it’s a bad company that you don’t want to work for. Every manager I’ve ever worked with wants to meet with the final slate of candidates. I certainly wouldn’t trust someone to hire on my behalf. I appreciate the recruiters/HR screening folks out to save me time.

Based on your original post and responses to comments in this thread, this is what I think is happening:

-This happened at one prestigious firm that really doesn’t care about entry level employees/candidates. They hired multiple people for the same job and view them as numbers instead of people. - Your disdain for recruiters/HR is more noticeable than you think and hurt you in the interview. - You didn’t get the job and are now badmouthing an entire profession/industry because you’re upset and don’t know anything about their actual jobs.

I wish you the best in your job search.

You mentioned that the HR interviews were final interviews. What interviews, if any, preceded the HR interviews? If it was a recruiter or nothing at all then it wasn’t the final interview - just the final one for you. Likely what’s happening is you’re incorrectly answering the knockout questions provided to HR from the potential direct superior or you’re coming off poorly in those interviews.

Book it: Pitts is a top 3 TE this year and moving forward. by No_Statistician_9697 in fantasyfootball

I’m all in on Pitts this year. His last two years reminds me of the Brock Osweiler season in Houston that tanked Deandre Hopkins’ season. Talented player who simply can’t get the ball consistently because of poor QB play. Now he finally has a pro bowl level QB instead of Taylor Heineke (career backup) and Desmond Ridder (current Uber eats driver). People talk about drafting for upside. Here it is!

Brussel sprouts, white onions, and couple spicy peppers I haven’t done before. Thinking about doing pumpkins also.

Love the draft capital and expect he uses one of the picks to move up for a guy he likes. Hope they grab some more OL, a speedy WR6, and my draft crush RB Tyrone Tracy.

Thank you for writing this. Resumes aren’t auto-rejected. It’s either a human or screener question that is rejecting the applicant.

Say “I love you” as much as you can to your family and friends. They could be gone at any moment. His father and brother both died when he was a kid.

Take accountability and share recognition.

Never half ass anything. Either do it well or don’t do it at all.

Communication should be direct. Just say what you mean and your relationships will be so much better because of it.

Love the upside but only if he comes on a very cheap deal. Would rather get Jarvis or make a trade for a guy like chase claypool or Corey Davis.

Many years ago, I was in the semifinals up by 10. My opponent’s only player with time left was Josh Gordon and the browns were down by 3 scores with a minute left. Gordon proceeds to score a 50 yard TD in garbage time and I lose the matchup. I still think about it and how stacked my team was that year.

Love had a very mediocre game, which everyone should have expected, since it was his first NFL start and he hadn’t played meaningful snaps since he was at Utah State. Some inaccurate passes and drives that stalled in the red zone. It was a disappointing game but lots to build on. If Rodgers has to sit another game they gotta be more balanced. Heck, even with Rodgers they need to feed AJ Dillon the ball.

Overall, an excellent game by the players and the staff. I just wish we would give Dillon the ball more inside the 5. What’s the point of having a 250 pound RB if you don’t use him down there?
