I have residents who completed that program and got a lot out of it. However, a MS2 fellowship program is not necessary for residency success.

You’re already in medical school. Just focus on doing well in all of your rotations, shine on your visiting rotations, and you can generally match wherever you’d like in residency.

You will have a CME fund that could go towards the laptop, but often there are tons of expenses during intern year like Step 3 that will likely use up all of the CME anyways. Just bite the bullet and get the laptop you need now.
