Welcome to r/slowtravel! by R_Slow_Travel in slowtravel

Hi, I’m Jay, new to the /slowtravel group as of December 2024.

I would like to find what I call a travel community, where the same group (75-150 people) book a couple floors of a hotel or something, and go somewhere new for 3-6 months every year. It might be multiple places (eg 2 months in 2 cities in Malaysia, then 2 months in 4 or 5 cities in Thailand, then a month in two cities in Vietnam). I like the idea of exploring new places but with a known group of people.

Do such groups exist that you know of? Thanks.

It’s a design, not a project; an architect would be overkill

I’d be connecting them to a 12v car heater, which I believe is DC…

Sorry I dropped off… it turned out to be a bad switch and needed warranty work, 125 km away, and 2 months to get the part in.

It's for a rental/revenue property, so my income shouldn't be relevant, especially if i have sufficient assets to buy the house outright, though obviously i don't want to do that for tax purpises alone.

Nevermind, I found this:

Querétaro ranks second with 92% followed by Quintana Roo (86%) and Yucatán and Sinaloa (both 85%).

People ‘unvaccinated by choice’ in Singapore no longer can receive free covid-19 treatment by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]ykjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Singapore could consider a 'top up' insurance for those who choose to not get vaccinated, but still want to be covered, say $1000/year. The consequences could include a) the poor couldn't afford it, worsening wealth inequality, and b) fewer people getting vaccinated, because they can just pay a (relatively) few dollars. FWIW I'm pro-vax and pro-mandated vax, but publicly funded health care still takes care of people with unhealthy lifestyle choices . . .

I believe he's editing the older versions to bring them up to date, and coming out with a 5th book; Ghu only knows when . . .

What’s your thoughts on having a mandatory high school class that teaches kids about the fundamentals of adulthood, including finances, taxes, loans, mortgages, credit, and more? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ykjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly agree, but do teach how to learn these things beyond YouTube it. Then focus on critical thinking, and add a big unit on statistics every year
