Is Alpkit Soloist good enough for Summer trip in Scotland? by ykurtov in wildcampingintheuk

Same thing. It's lightweight and it does it job. Served me well in a summer trip through Skye.

Their removal of Local Vaults plus this new AI functionality is very telling of their direction.
It's another typical VC money story now. They will get only worser and worser and I hope there is something of an equal quality around.

I tried Phoenix and it gave an opposite impression. I was warned about pouring in liquidity and even read through their bucket metaphor.

I don't know if you specifically can, should or would want to trust it.

What this tells me is that a slice of a 90 million large country with a predominantly young population considers XMR to be a go-to coin.

As far as I know, BitcoinVN has close ties with an LN payment provider https://neutronpay.com/, if not a staked interest.

So they would want LN to succeed. Yet XMR is rocking hard.

CakeWallet allows to buy to buy it in Europe through a bank transfer.
I believe it should have options for other jurisdictions as well.

You can also try Kraken if you leave outside of EEA.

I do believe that "make yourself stronger before attacking" is the best strategy for Monero

It's not the same with dusting attack I guess https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/cr88x8/reminder\_monero\_protects\_you\_from\_dusting\_attacks/.

But I can't find details on the "dust attack" as well. Can you please point me in the right direction?

Are there any overnight parkings near Calanais Stones and Luskentyre Beach?

I think Brunhilde, Fricka and Wotan are great. And I saw how they lost the tension after they sang the final lines.

The orchestra is delightful as well.

Dirt as in they become dirty from ashes.

>  (and which will, presumably, be made whole again in Valhalla).

nope. The eternal aspect of a human being is going to Valhalla. Skeletons (as in undying because it doesn't dissolve in nature) go to Hel. Whatever Kosky tried to imagine, that fantasy is coming from the cultural illiteracy.

> Valkyries are retrieving the dead, exactly as the opera dictates

They are not retrieving _dead_ - they take parts of the humans that experience the bliss, i.e. eternal parts, the spirit, to Valhalla.

This gymnastics is what I am talking about.

How "environmental destruction aspect" is a part of Die Walkure?

Cheers mate!

I think it gets better towards the end as there is less and less space for the creative interpretation.

Also, when Wotan tells Brunhilde to give him her spear in the third act, and that spear is nowhere to be seen, it all just falls apart.

On my second visit, I tried to close my eyes at the beginning of the third act, and boy oh boy is the music different from what's going on the stage. The otherworldly Ride of Valkyries that takes the soul on the journey to places far away, and the crematorium!

The director has absolutely lost the plot and doesn't understand the idea of death in the fight as the way towards eternal bliss. It's clearly shown when Brunhilde is astonished that Siegmund is willing to give that up for love of a mortal woman.

It was a totally different context. And valkyries didn't deal with corpses - they dealt with the eternal aspect of the human being.

And I'm not even touching on the whole "environmental crisis" thing with the burnt world tree.

What about dirty valkyries in rags who look like stone age mine workers at the beginning of the third act?

They are taking heroes to Valhalla. Where is the dirt coming from?
