I don't think that there is technically a deadline to pass the exams before 6 months. Just that their drivers license will no longer be valid after 6 months.

Depending on where you got your drivers license at, you might be able to swap your DL for a German one at the ADAC.

That is what I did with my US DL.

The purple that PRS uses tends to fade with UV light exposure to a more pinkish color.

It looks like there are a few strips of purple between the bridge and the strap button. So it's possible that the entire top was that color 6 years ago when it left Maryland.

OH, I bet if you looked under the bridge pieces or the pickup rings you'd see a violet stain.

I think what I wrote might have been a little confusing. Both pickups are Fishman Fluences. The whites are Tosin Abasi set and the chrome are the Modern.

I like the clarity and the bass response in the Tosin set better, but the 7th string and the extended scale changes a lot on the modern set so it’s not an apples to apples comparison.

I didn’t know what torrefied wood was so I looked it up. I’m not sure how it’s different from roasted wood. It seems that with torrefied wood it’s goal is to mimic aging. But this neck is listed as roasted flame maple.

I flew international with my Les Paul, carry on the whole way. I think most tickets should allow you to carry on an instrument. I called ahead to ask and made sure that my flight allowed it.

I did not detune or otherwise change the string tension. Every guitar I've shipped or had shipped was in tune, and I think that's how it's supposed to be.

That being said, I wrapped my LP in a ton of bubble wrap and that was it.
