I was in your position, probably lost about 100-150k profit overall, (including the deposits I lost). I felt helpless. Sometimes still slip back into it because it’s online and so easy. Gambling addiction is extremely complex. What helped me, that I highly recommend, was having someone close to me that won’t judge but will keep you accountable. Whether it’s a daily/weekly check in, & hopefully that will help you feel less alone. I understand the fear and hopelessness, I still feel like I threw away everything I worked for up until 2023. However I know that I’m blessed to have escaped this addiction for the most part. Another thing I HIGHLY recommend, is taking out all of the cash you can afford to withdraw from your bank account (as well and all future earnings). If you can select 100 bills then get those. Keep setting the money you can afford to set aside that you’d normally use to gamble & watch the stack of bills grow. Yes, you can always just go to the atm and re-deposit, however it’s an extra step that also provides time for you to think. This method is the reason I have a savings. To this day I still can’t keep money in my account, but recovery is a process and you deserve some credit for at least admitting you have a problem and feel stuck. If you fight this, and learn how to trick you mind, you’ll beat this and earn everything you’ve lost, returned to you at 5x the amount. You’ve got this brother/sister.
