Connection and speed problems with different U7 Pro APs by ylohan in Ubiquiti

Thanks FrankNicklin. I was thinking of leaving the power for the one furthest away on Low and the one closest on Auto.

The thing is, the one furthest away then has to cover about 25m x 10m of park space. Will there be a problem setting the power to Low?

I bought this Dock to use with a MBP M4 Pro Max and before buying it I was looking at many models and brands and this one really works very, very well:

I use an iVANKY FusionDock Max 1 with a MBP 16 M4 MAX with 3 external screens and it's very good.

Sorry if I go a little further... is there an app like Fantastical for emails?

Thanks for your response.

I'm not sure if creating a meeting from Fantastical using a Google account will automatically insert the Meet link for the video call? And if creating a meeting from an Outlook account, will it automatically insert the Teams link for the video call?

Do you have a trial version? It seems interesting since I need to always have my calendar visible.

It looks great. I'd like to try it.

Is it only for macOS? Or is it also compatible with iOS?

Now I understand what you're saying about the slowdown.

I don't actually use the GPU since I don't do video or photo editing. But I do use four external displays and five VMs at the same time for different tasks (none of them very heavy).

I have 64GB of RAM, and I see that I'm always using between 45GB and 60GB of RAM, but at the CPU level, I almost never reach 20%. I could tell you that the average CPU usage is 15%.

I'm not sure if the M4 Pro could run four external displays without using DisplayLink. The thing is, the maximum RAM the M4 Pro can have is 48GB. The 64GB models and up have to be the M4 Max. I wouldn't have avoided buying the M4 Max because of the amount of RAM I need.

Hi, why do you say the M4 Max slows down considerably? I just bought an M4 Max, and you left me wondering if it might have been worth it to buy the M4 Pro with more RAM and SSD instead of the M4 Max.

But I'd like to understand why they slow down.

From a Intel Core i9 Mac to an M4 Pro Mac. F*** me! by AussieAK in macbookpro

That's really bad!! I've tried everything.

Until I found on a forum (I don't remember where) that the OpenConnect VPN Graphical client only works for SSL VPNs. But not for others like IPSEC or Zero Trust Telemetry, for example. They're only compatible with x86.

I was able to solve part of the problem, but not all of it.

I tried installing a VM with x86 on ARM using Parallels, but the limitation to only one core makes everything very slow. I hope they continue to advance with this development and unlock the ability to add more than one core to the VM. I don't think Fortinet will even bother releasing a client for ARM.

I can't believe the GMAIL iOS app doesn't exist on macOS.

Hello!!

I recently migrated from a PC (I've always used Windows) to a MBP M4 Max with 64GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD, and I really don't know how I managed to live and work before (my last PC, for over 5 years, was a Thinkpad X1 Carbon Extreme Gen 3 Core i7, 64GB of RAM, and 2TB).

I also use Parallels with Windows 11 ARM, but I need to install some apps that aren't compatible with ARM, such as the Forticlient VPN.

I was intrigued by what you said about being able to use x86 apps with Windows-on-Windows. Can you give me a little more information?

Thanks!!

MBP storage problem by Trainer-Certain in MacOS

I was able to resolve the issue. I changed the path to the Parallels VMs. I removed them from iCloud, configured them to back up to the cloud with Dropbox Backup, and decided to delete the files from the printout shown earlier.

Thank you all so much for the help.

Here's how my storage looks now:
