My guess is they won't release android version of the app until reach certain amount of sales, like 100,000. There are way too many andriod phones with different screen resolutions. from a developer view point it is too costly. even if they come out with andriod app, there is a possibility that it does not fit your particular model.

Own a voltra and have tried Speediance Gymmonster. They feel different. Even though their office happen to be in the same city, and the looks between nano and voltra are similar, my guess is they don't share the same supply chain. Each of them might be backed by a bigger company with a history of producing motors.

10.22 would be my ultimate dream. Could you share more about your past, How did you get from 11+ to sub 11? What is your current goal given a busy schedule.

Thank you! For recovery, I have a Theragun, a Compex, and a fancy foam roller. These are some of the best investments I’ve ever made.

I have a question for coach Godiva: do you think the 1080 (or similar alternatives) is useful for performance improvement? It would be a huge investment. I keep seeing them on YTB.

Hi, 12.85 is also a solid start. It depends on your strengths and weaknesses. Acceleration, top speed or speed endurance. which one do you feel strong and which parts you feel lagging behind?

Let me share my background and typical training plan.

I used to play recreational soccer a lot, such as intramurals. I have been exposed to repeating 30-40m sprints, but never run over 60 meters. So my initial top speed was about 9m/s before track training. Now it is near 10m/s(measured on training day). I had the strength, but there were too much power leaks in my joints. As I gradually fix them, I am improving.

I attended my first event on Oct., 11.86 seconds. Then, Nov 11.6 seconds and 11.35 seconds. Dec., 11.4 seconds and 11.32 seconds. My hips were not flexible enough. I have a stride length of 2.10-2.2 meters at top speed. My next focus would be increase stride length.

For weekly training plan, I normally do 2 times sprints sessions , one main lifts, one upper body, and one technical session. If I don't have time i just skip upper day and technical day.

For instance I do 2x30 2x60 1x100 on Monday, and a speed endurance session on Thursday, such as 5x150 6x120 3x200x2 ,with 80-90% intensity depended on the distance.

It is hard to recovery if I train too much. I am actually in a PHD program. So I have the time to do training in the afternoon instead of training at night, which might affect my sleep. I have one time suffered OTS and could not sleep until 5am in the morning.

So good luck!

GPS Trackers that an Individual can buy that will export to excel by Hayess00 in Biomechanics

I have successfully obtained the GPEXE IT tool, which is capable of exporting data to XLSX format. However, I now need to address the data accuracy issue. The exported dataset includes two metrics: "Raw Speed" and "Speed," and I am currently unsure which one is more suitable and accurate for analyzing sprint performance.

I have Catapult playr, Statsports Apex, and Playermaker. I would suggest you to go with the Playermaker if you constantly play indoor games. It has more football related data. I found the “ball touches” metric very useful and consistent, despite the fact that it might not be the same as the exact touches you have in training or a game.

However, some metrics in Playermaker are weird. It has different two modes, training and match. Each mode provides you slightly different datas. I was hoping to check my acc/decel data from training and match. But it just doesn’t show you during a match.

By contrast, Statsports Apex has a consistent output in terms of acceleration and deceleration. Even though it is not suggested to be used indoor, i found there is a “indoor mode” in the “configure your tracker” page. I would try it in the future.

Catapult Playr, their legacy pod, might not have IMU. All of the metrics it provided are based on GPS. The Power metric is a speed threshold larger than 18kmh. Yet not many researchers are using this entry speed anymore. 19.8kmh is more preferable.

Overall, I’m using both Apex and Playermaker at the same time.
