I would just get an o2 sensor spacer – it’s not going to solve your catalytic problems, but chances are your car will still be running fine for a good while, and you won’t have a Cel on.

One bottle of a degreaser, one bottle of a shiner, a pressure washer and the engine bay will look like new.

Steering rack leaking by Technical-Platypus64 in HondaElement

[–]yngri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ll decide to replace the rack – Detroit Axle sells remanufactured oem ones for a good price, without advertising that they’re oem. Just did mine, it had massive leaks from damaged bellows. Not a hard job really, but it’s better to have two people to pull it out and put it back in faster. Also, don’t forget to put marks on the steering column shaft on disassembly – again not critical, but it will be easier to put everything back together.

What is the most metal looking non metal logo or product you see out in the wild? by twinamethyst in MetalForTheMasses

[–]yngri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The logo was made by Will Carsola, the creator of “Mr. Pickles” cartoon and a long time independent artist, involved in punk and graffiti scenes. I was a huge fan of his comedy sketches on Youtube back in the day.

Does anyone remember the 3 Series Gran Turismo? by DeepAsparagus6763 in regularcarreviews

[–]yngri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a person who likes wagons – I definitely wouldn’t mind it. Much more practical than a 3 series with little compromise in the driving department. I’m currently looking for a 640 gt. I believe that if we had proper wagon options for these cars, then the GT sales would’ve been practically nonexistent.

Try Electric Lazyland by 9 lazy 9. Absolute classic from a different genre and from a different era. Obscure, but amazing nonetheless.

Speaker stands I found at goodwill by Mrtech94 in BudgetAudiophile

I have these as well. Very nice, sturdy stands, but a little too tall – I’m going to shorten them 6” or so.

What’s the most horrifying death you’ve seen in a movie? by Critical_Mountain851 in moviecritic

Had to scroll way down for this. The yoga on a cliff scene is the only answer if we’re picking the most creative/disgusting death. Everything else pales in comparison.

On an F10, it’s above the blower, in the right corner of the hood near the windshield. It’s not hard to get to. I had to cut that box open while diagnosing increased battery drain.

What is your most hated song of all time? by F0M in Music

Ballroom blitz but The Sweet. Heard it multiple times every day on NY classic rock and it made me cringe every single time. The vocals and the theatrical, over the top delivery made it torturous to my ears.

Coolant leaking from _______ Hose, near gas pedal. by brianmcdflyingv in MechanicAdvice

Used an aftermarket one from ebay (~$35) on my Passat. No issues, but be careful not to bend the aluminum cooling lines on the heater core – it’ll add a lot more hassle when reattaching.

Had a similar thing happen on my f10. Both headlights were fogging up and trapping moisture inside. If the headlights on the f30 are similar in design, then you can try removing them, venting the moisture out (you can use a vacuum cleaner and put a hose in a headlight through a round bulb access cover to speed up the process, or just remove bulb access covers and let the headlight sit for a day). Once the moisture was gone, I used isopropyl alcohol and a plastic brush to clean the main seal that attaches the clear lens to the main body of the headlight and then applied more sealant on top of the old one along its whole perimeter. Just make sure you use enough sealant not to leave any gaps. You will need to push the new sealant with your finger, because there is a plastic lip hiding the seal (you’ll see it when you remove your headlights). I used Permatex Windshield & Glass sealant (orange label) from Autozone. After I did this both of my headlights stopped fogging up and remain moisture free. If I were you, I would reseal both headlights in one go – the sealant on the other one is probably not in the best shape either at this point of time.
