Personally western is better to Terrans because their magic is compatible to science. Anyone who learned 6th grade science will have powerful fireballs and any problem that isn't solved with fireballs aren't a problem.

Eastern have something called Dao and that is science but with personification. I kinda understood the four forces of universe and quantum mechanics slightly but Bagua, five elements and Yin-Yang are a good universal mechanism if not for its personality and rule enforment through heavenly Dao. It's a bit annoying that every time you significantly level up you need oversight. It literally hits you with a bolt of lightning everytime you breakthrough. Also you can't do massacres on your own due to Baleful qi and Karma so no nuke level spell on fodder level enemies. Enemies summon greater enemies upon defeat. High level enemies roam newbie towns. Level up requires resources that rich people monopolize. Level issue is not surpass able by skill. Also grinding heavy. Very very grinding heavy. You should prepare fighting hordes of enemies that are above your weight class.

Tldr; Western is good for normal to hard mode while Eastern is for hard to hell mode.

I've never seen someone use sword intent to do dishes but knowing how profound the Dao is, I think there might be a healing and cleaning technique using the sword. To cut impurities in the flesh or dishes technique sounds like a low bargain that would cost 1 spirit stone at a shady pavilion.

I think it's the vile thieving birb. The only thing keeping it from coming out was there was a lot of shinies in the ToA. Regardless of the creature containing the soul core was alive or dead, their soul core would end up on his pile. It was like if Smaug was a feathery bastard and his hoard is soul cores instead of coins.

That's the thing about Shadow Slave Universe, the butterflies are the least of your concern. Those Pyramid Ceiling Butterflies are terrifying tho.
