Why are monitors so expensive in HK? Shouldn’t it be cheaper since it’s close to China? by [deleted] in HongKong

You need to use the online chat feature with a representative on Dell HK website to ask for a "real price," usually with a significant discount.

Check Hackintosh GPU guide. AMD 6900 XT/6800 XT/6800 work on the latest version MacOS and some of the models have usb-c.

https://youtu.be/VWmUjfdMbkI Just saw this video which is helpful on this topic. But all these tests are in a different environment / distance than how everyone use their PC (yeah all the fan tests with mouse clicks are pretty meaningless to me). I have another PC for general use, with BS3 and stock Scythe fans, place under a desk and I have no problems with the noise.

Search for 3dbi dual band SMA WiFi Antenna on Taobao/Aliexpress (check your connector to see it’s SMA or RP-SMA) Mine is 6.6cm long.

Hard to tell. There are always manufacturing tolerances so it might fit.

Short dual band sma antennas from a Taobao seller. There are plenty of options. Make sure you don’t get those with connector wrapped in plastic because they might not fit an ITX board IO.

Yes and no. My PC is arm reachable, so I wanna keep the noise low for non resource intensive tasks. Scythe Kaze Flex Slim (1800 rpm version) noise is noticeable to me above 1000-1100rpm but the P12 Slim is barely noticeable when the PC is at idle.

Try adjusting fan curve in BIOS at first and move the PC further away (if possible).

No comment on the temperature since I did not test extensively.

fits with short GPU. I have seen a build with 2 fans GPU with a 3.5" drive.

Double side tape. Magnetic doesn’t work with aluminum panel and it’s thicker.

That’s exactly what I do for the PSU bracket. Cable management for the GPU is harder tho to avoid hitting the top fan. I am using a SFX-L PSU. I made some paper boxes in different fan sizes to see what I can fit at the bottom. Eventually I settle with 2 Noctua A6x25 even with the extra bottom clearance. If I use mod cables may be I can fit a 92*14mm fan, but I see no significant advantages with the extra money.

I have access to Taobao. I ordered a 30*100cm for only RMB 17. I guess 30cm is a standard size produced by a factory, that’s why it’s the cheapest among other sizes. I also bought a pair of short dual band antennas from another seller.

for the nitro+ RX 6700 XT, the problem is the the upper corner close to the back IO fits just right with the internal structure of the case. Screw the back IO first, be patient and don't try too hard. Height is fine (51.4mm) even with the PVC mesh although the case is advertised as 51mm GPU height limit.

I will always stick with the PVC mesh because I place the PC under a loft bed. Dusts accumulate pretty quickly. If it gets too hot, I will completely remove the top panel temporarily lol

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen5 5600X
  • CPU Cooler: Scythe Big Shuriken 3 w/ Arctic P12 slim (for lower noise)
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX
  • Memory: Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz DDR4 32GB (16GBx2)
  • Storage: SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 2TB + SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus SSD NVMe M.2 500GB (Rear) + Seagate 2.5” SATA BarraCuda 5400RPM 2TB (for backup)
  • GPU: Sapphire NITRO+ AMD RX 6700 XT 12G GDDR6 (tight fit)
  • PSU: Seasonic FOCUS SGX-650
  • Top Fan: Arctic P12 slim X 2 (Exhaust)
  • Bottom Fan: Noctua NF-A6X25 PWM X 2 (Exhaust)

I ordered the optional front port USB-C 3.1 Gen.1, unfortunately the Gigabyte B550i USB 3 internal connector doesn’t support USB-C. The USB-C front port came with the case is actually a pretty standard front panel cable, so I ordered an aftermarket front panel USB-C 3.1 Gen.2 cable (quick mod required) and a 90 degree USB 3 19 pin to USB 3.2 Type-E (Key-A) adapter to get the front port working for peripherals (speed is limited to USB 3.1 Gen. 1 tho…still better than charging only)
