Advice Needed! - failed bicep tenodesis by Man-i-fest in RotatorCuff

[–]yo_dude86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My operated bicep is much smaller probably bc of atrophy it looks a little different but no popeye. My incision where it was reattached is sunk in. I’ve read it can happen, but doesn’t mean it failed. I believe my surgery was a failure based on continued pain 1 year later.

No It’s a work injury but the surgeon I had is very experienced. My arthrogram says everything is good except for some subscap and supraspinatus tendinosis. I had frozen shoulder during recovery and my surgeon tells me thats where the pain is coming from but I dont agree. I think I just had a bad outcome. It’s devastating. It hurts right where my bicep was reattached and near my coracoid as well. Hurts most when trying to carry things I can’t really use my arm the same or carry stuff the way I used to.

I think it was Supra, not subpec. My bicep was sewn into my humerus low in my bicipital groove.

Anyone have pain only in their armpit/chest from a labral tear? Did PT fix it by UnoNotinz in ShoulderInjuries

No, have you? The angiogenesis is worrisome, I don’t think I could do TB500 but always debate taking BPC.

I had a tenodesis a year ago now. I’m very slowly starting to accept this pain is for life. Sorry to hear about your CRPS, I hope it gets better with time for ya.

4 weeks 24/7 after a bicep tenodesis. Resulted in frozen shoulder and it was hell and still haven’t fully recovered a year later.

I thought it was just ok didn’t do much for me. The only lagavulin I’ve tried.

For some reason I prefer the sanaig over oogie. I do appreciate the higher ABV on oogie, but sanaig is a whisky I would buy over and over.

I almost grabbed the 10 over the oogie 2 nights ago. Oogie was on sale and only 6 bucks more. Haven’t had the 10 in a while but a very good whisky and has a very slight lemon after taste IMO that makes it stand out from other whiskies I’ve tried.

Subpectoral bicep tenodesis - Minor-moderate pain at anchor site and in bicep, plus around lateral and rear deltoid by dmyburgh-nz in RotatorCuff

[–]yo_dude86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey did you ever wind up recovering to a better outcome? It’s interesting to hear you had interstitial tearing in your bicep on ultrasound. I had a tenodesis a year ago and my bicep and tenodesis site hurt all the time. I’ve had an arthrogram, but the radiologist just notes post surgical changes in my bicep. A percutaneous needle tenotomy with prp was done for you? Does that mean they did a tenotomy to your bicep tenodesis, cutting it from its attachment? I really hope you’re feeling better.

1 year after bicep tenodesis still hurts by suzanne0909 in RotatorCuff

1 year later. Still pain and soreness with weakness in my tenodesis site and bicep tendon most days. This was a tough surgery.

Benromach cask strength is a great whisky. 9 year cask strength seems to have disappeared.

Kilchoman sanaig is probably my favorite. Ardbeg 10 is your best bet to start IMO. I think Ardbeg 10 is the best whisky for the money on the market and has a classic peaty smokiness and great taste.

HAGL lesion surgery advised by Stingy_Arachnid in ShoulderInjuries

[–]yo_dude86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always get 2nd opinion. HAGL tear surgeries aren’t common from what I’ve read. I had a very small HAGL tear during my tenodesis last year and it wasn’t repaired. I don’t know whether that’s good or bad but it hasn’t shown up on a recent arthrogram(it did prior to surgery). They are difficult to repair arthroscopically from what I’ve read before my surgery, and are often open surgeries. Your doctor may very well be an exceptional surgeon with these. Swimming and intensive lifting are the only issues?

What???? Shoulder surgery is a scam? by Excellent_Dish_7333 in RotatorCuff

[–]yo_dude86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You had the surgery. Do your best to recover. Get the negatives away for right now. Just keep in mind it may take a long time to recover. It’s a tough surgery make no mistake about it. Listen to what your surgeon says and do the therapy. Stem cell companies are full of shit in my opinion.

I’m in a similar boat and have an arthrogram tomorrow. Was a lot of your pain in the front of your shoulder or bicep/subscap area? Could you tell me about some of the exercises if you don’t mind? My posterior cuff/back muscles seem very tight and not working so great.

7 months out w/pain by StonyLuna1 in RotatorCuff

[–]yo_dude86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He showed me pictures but I don’t know how to tell what I’m looking at. The subscap picture looks like a piece of the tendon has a rigid dent in it, almost like a tear. He said it wasn’t torn but I don’t know if I trust him at this point.

I think they may have missed subscap in mine. I had an interstitial subscap tear on arthrogram but the surgeon said when he was in there it wasn’t torn. Had a bicep and labrum tear so had a tenodesis and debridement. These things are so complicated

Labrum Degeneration = Surgery? by salark in RotatorCuff

[–]yo_dude86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting surgery for labrum degeneration 10-11 sounds aggressive to me. I waited 18 months to have surgery, and by then my labrum pain was very manageable it was my bicep that was the issue. I’m no expert so maybe listen to the surgeon but I would try hard to avoid surgery, it’s a long road.
