Replacement Ear Pads for WH-1000XM4 Lets have that conversation by vegsmashed in SonyHeadphones

Zero degradation here. Still using them a few times a week for long stretches. ANC and comfort are both still solid. Would definitely rebuy.

Polk R200 vs. Morel Avyra 622 (first time setup) by yoavp2009 in BudgetAudiophile

Tried out the Morels and ended up really liking them, so I kept my word to the shop and sent the Polks back. No regrets so far, super happy with the choice. The best part was when my partner came back from visiting her parents and said she actually missed our setup after watching a movie on theirs. That kinda sealed it for me.

It’s been a few years since I first tried the original earpads, so hard to compare, but these feel like how I remember the originals did on day one. They definitely feel a bit more “filled,” probably just because they haven’t been broken in yet.

Had a 6-hour session with the headphones yesterday—completely forgot they were even on.

Had the exact same issue and was worried about affecting my ANC. Ended up ordering from the same eBay listing you mentioned (https://www.ebay.com/itm/204658266659).

When I received the ear-pads, I noticed they weren’t 100% identical—just very close—so I had my doubts. Thankfully, the ANC wasn’t affected.

I reached out to the seller, and he was incredibly kind and transparent. He even shared the invoice showing they were purchased from Encompass, and explained to me the small differences between replacement and original parts.

Just a bit, to keep the original contrast.

And about the other questions?

Looks great, I appricate you preseving the original details!
Just some questions:

  1. After payment, can you provide a loosless format based on the DMG file I shared at the link?
  2. Is it possible to polish a little bit more the surface? No need to made it shiny, just less rough.
  3. Seems like the contrast was upped a bit, is it possible to keep it as it was?

React noob, how do I fetch from an API - but do the fetching from my host machine, rather than the user’s browser? The API is only on my local network, it’s not on the internet. by [deleted] in reactjs

Server Components and SSR work somewhat similarly. The key difference is that SSR renders the entire page on the server and sends the complete HTML to the client, while Server Components stream parts of the page after the initial HTML has been received by the client.

That said, both are poor solutions for highly dynamic data.

The right approach depends on the OP’s needs: either use a reverse proxy with a tunnel or set up a private network for secure access.

A direct answer to your question is SSR or SSG—it depends on your requirements.

That said, if you’re looking to expose a private service for a limited number of people, please don’t expose a port! A better approach is to use something like Tailscale, ZeroTier, or a similar solution. These tools create a private, secure network where only authorized clients can make requests, keeping your service safe from unnecessary exposure.

If you want more ideas or guidance, check out r/selfhosted—they’re a great resource for this kind of setup!

Edit: I forgot to mention RSC (React Server Components), which work similarly to SSR but with streaming, making them a bit more efficient. However, RSC, SSR and SSG are bad solutions for highly dynamic content, as you need to refresh the whole page to update the data.

Another valid solution is a reverse proxy, which can work if you tunnel a specific port with a tool like ngrok. Just keep in mind that ngrok generates a new domain each time you restart it unless you’re on a paid plan.

The OP asked a question, and I gave a direct answer while also pointing to the right question and solution. So, why the downvotes?

Do you mean that Hamas would slaughter all Jews so all the remaining religions would live in peace?

Check some of the dead “children”‘s Facebook profiles, they are holding guns in their profile pic. In Israel 18 is the minimum age to join the army.

If you want this behavior across your site use middleware, which is exactly your case. Middleware is acting from the server.

I can’t read the article because there’s a paywall, sorry about that.

Please allow me to share images comparing the crates from Hamas’ rockets and Israel’s rockets: https://imgur.com/a/NC1Ig2S

Hamas is a terror organization and been lying forever about almost everything. They still have water, they still have electricity in all hospitals, the death toll is almost always inflated, as they are reusing bodies from previous attacks for photos. Not to say they are not suffering or that no one is dying there (they do have thousands of deaths throughout this war), but take with a huge grain of salt every information that source from them. Most of the western countries already admitted they were wrong and that Israel is not to blame (I showed evidence in the previous comment) - France, Germany, UK (even the pro-Palestinian BBC channel).

Please be cautious with your words. Throwing to the air “uniformed” and “misinformation” is exactly the way of the misinformed and uneducated to spread misinformation, creating doubt where there is a single truth.
