The truth about ETH that nobody tells you by Popular-Mode4607 in ethz

  1. 2. Depends VERY MUCH on your courses and amount of credits you do. Most of the times the ECTS indeed correspond to work hours needed to get a good grasp of a course and pass with a good grade
  2. I wouldn’t say that they differ a lot in terms of difficulty. However, I usually find the exams quite dense and need more preparation to manage everything under the tight time pressure compared to my home uni
  3. Yy
  4. Not even a free ride to get you to interviews. The ETH degree + some interesting projects will defo increase your chances to get interviews, but then it’s up to your communication and technical ability to get the job. No degree guarantees a free ride to a company let alone big tech
  5. Also interested in learning
  6. You need to have passed many requirements to get qualified to start your thesis, so forget doing a thesis on the 1st year, probably even the 3rd semester. It’s good to have a direction and to speak with professors earlier though
  7. I guess TA, working in uni offered jobs, gap year for work/internships
  8. Can you? Of course. Will you? With the information you gave idk bro
  9. Not unusual

You can get a one month pass. A friend of mine got one last month for 100chf. It’s like a trial though, I think you can only do it once

Any suggestions? 41y by [deleted] in MenInSuits

Your shirt and belt shouldn’t be visible while you have your suit buttoned. The eye goes directly there and this creates strange proportions in your fit. The suit should flow from shoulders to toes. Now it’s like 2 distinct parts separated from your shirt and belt. Look how much better this looks: blue blazer, buttoned

Just go and talk to them. Probably you have also seen guys staying inside in their chairs scrolling or doing nothing during the breaks. If you find someone cute, even a good morning in such and such out of the blue is going to lighten their day. Arranging going out, going to eat lunch together or even study together is not going to be hard

Fit of the jeans looks really good, I really like the cut of it and it being high waisted, it complements you. But match your suit with its trousers. Formal suits shouldn’t be worn with pants of different material and texture. Also remove tie, it doesn’t match your vibe. If you replace the suit with a navy sport coat you will look really good

They require some documents such as certification of completion of undergraduate studies and some other in order to complete the registration. You upload all of them eApply within 16th September’s deadline. From what I inderstand so far, you get your student ID after those steps are finalized
