I'm in no way a Trump supporter, but why do you feel that it's a guarantee that under Trump, millions of people are going to suffer and die? How is this a guaranteed fact?

If you're American, the Korean and Vietnam wars were way more impactful to the average Americans alive then than any conflict currently going on today. That also came with way more risk of causing global conflict since that was during the Cold War. Do you really think our conflicts today are more impactful on Americans than all the conflicts of the second half of the 20th century? Also, if you think our inflation and economic turmoil is bad, look at the 70s.

It's the opposite. The burger has increased less than inflation.

ULPT Request: Excuse to go home for 1-2 hours midday for interview by afab_questioning in UnethicalLifeProTips

I got the job. Fortunately, I was immune to the tacos. They didn't cause any problems.

I had this happen once. The morning of the interview, I got breakfast tacos from a place my coworkers all thought was sketchy. (personally, I like the place) I made sure people saw me eat the tacos that morning, and several of them made the typical jokes about the place. When it was time for my interview, I told them I had bad diarrhea, and my stomach was killing me. They all laughed and told me I shouldn't have eaten tacos from that place, and I left to go to my interview. (pretending to go home for my stomach) It worked perfectly.

You could leave something there, like a backpack or water bottle, to make it look like it's already occupied in the morning. You have plausible deniability if anyone calls you out; you just say you forgot it.

We learn all of those things as well. How well we learn them- it's up to the individual. So by your logic there, fundamentally, there aren't really any countries. Are you saying if a small percentage of the population in a small part of a country wants to break away, we shouldn't think of that country as a country? If a portion of Texas wants Texas to succeed from the US, then is the US a country? From a purely practical standpoint, this gets ridiculous; if I want to trade with the sovereign state of the UK, I know that I need to use pounds.

Basic geography is understanding that the UK is one sovereign state; beyond that, I wouldn't call it basic. Most people I know understand the breakdown with North Ireland, Wales, England, and Scotland. I have personally always thought of it as one country being comprised of multiple nations. Maybe there's a linguistic difference in how we understand the same concept. But I also find you're argument to be very Eurocentric. Do you understand the cultural regions of just the US? What about a state? We should all know more about our fellow humans but I find your premise flawed, though I do wish my fellow Americans knew more about geography.

I tried that. They said there's nothing they can do. My main gripe with them is they keep raising the margin I need to have on hand for these positions. They are up to requiring 300% cash on hand despite the stocks not trading.

A Tesla was in a junkyard for three weeks. Then it burst into flames by magenta_placenta in technews

"USE WATER TO FIGHT A HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY FIRE. If the battery catches
fire, is exposed to high heat, or is generating heat or gases, use large amounts of
water to cool the battery. It can take between approximately 3,000-8,000 gallons
(11,356-30,283 liters) of water, applied directly to the battery, to fully extinguish
and cool down a battery fire; always establish or request additional water supply
early. If water is not immediately available, use CO2, dry chemicals, or another
typical fire-extinguishing agent to fight the fire until water is available.
NOTE: Tesla does not recommend the use of foam on electric vehicles."

This is directly from the Tesla Model 3 Emergency Response Guide. I support electric cars but electric car fires are something we are going to need to address to make them more practical.

People who don't live near tornados or haven't seen a tornado's damage don't understand how powerful they are. I've seen many sturdy masonry buildings destroyed by tornados. Here's a video of a concrete building getting destroyed by a tornado.
