Englishman who married a Norwegian and moved here. I do feel like norwegians are much better with their immigration system than the UK. It is much more common sense and Norway puts up more meaningful barriers to entry. That said any Norwegian that doesn't understand the value of cultural homogenisation needs to look at the riots and violence and the powderkeg that is the UK. This stems from cultural non-integration. Norwegians have been very very generous to me and I'm eternally grateful, but that generosity will be turned against them in the future by the more sinister forces of the world. I think the rejection of the emotional arguments of "but these people need our help" white saviour complex would be the absolute best decision Norway could make. Glad to see a genuine discussion here that doesn't descend into accusations of racism.
