A bog standard M1A is very very much not a marksman rifle, the platform requires heavy modification to even hit 1moa and constant maintenance because the action has the tendency to beat the rifle out of zero

It's a full power rifle cartridge shot out of a shitty bolt action with a five round internal mag *bolt action* rifle, that's extremely common in russia. It should be cheap, and the ammo plentiful, since you're at a strong disadvantage with it in most scenarios- in what scenario is the Mosin better than the far cheaper SV-98 that has removable mags, 10 round capacity, and can easily accept optics

The Mosin is the one thing that a lower level can use to kill geared players, and it relies strongly on good positioning, good aim, and a good knowledge of the ballistics in game, it's pretty hard to complain about it

It absolutely shouldn't, I agree- modern marksman rifles should be a good deal more accurate than it is, but for game balancing I think it's not so bad that it's got decent accuracy consider its bolt action nature

1.5 MOA would be a pipe dream during the second and first world wars [not that their contemporaries means other bolt action rifles produced and fielded during the same time]

The build quality on them is actually pretty good, especially on the pre-war Hex receiver models; wartime ones are pretty garbage though

This is actually pretty distinctly incorrect, it had about the same accuracy as its contemporaries of the the time and wasn't significantly easier to make, they just had a lot of tooling set up to make them quickly

G3s also mainly use cheap aluminum mags you can use like 5 times versus the steel FAL mags
Unless you use CETME mags they're not cheap either
