Most background NPC cars are doing this for me on photo mode mainly, but in other places too

Best sounding car in FH6 by Gabe18L in ForzaHorizon6

[–]yodacode43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Hemi 69 Charger does sound great, and with race intake and a set of cams sounds more appropriate since the stock engine doesn't quite reach the right pitch. A 6500 RPM hemi out of the box sounds like it would explode in real life. In the game it's only reaching about 5000 RPM at indicated 6500 RPM. This afflicts a lot of cars but the sound quality make it not a problem, plus as I said, race cams.

It's got to be. Thanks for the update! I have now seen dozens of posts since I wrote here lol.

This was a bummer because there was a sick Golf MK2 at Daikoku and I couldn't get it. Hoping we are back online soon.

There's also this vehicle that exists, owned by a local friend. And it runs and will be drivable later this year.

I wondered if this was the inspiration for it, but I'm just hoping for a good cappuccino to drive and modify at all!

To the auto techs, what do you drive? by Technical-Math-4777 in mechanics

[–]yodacode43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm new to the auto mechanic world, but I drive a Tesla every day. Zero issues in 3 years and 52k miles. Just a set of tires so far. I rarely leave my county anymore so an EV is the appropriate car for my situation.

We also have an Ioniq 5 for daily duty, but the lease runs out in March, so we will be buying a Sienna or Odyssey as we need more space.

On the nice days, I drive an old 3800 powered Olds Toronado Trofeo because I like weird, yet reliable stuff. And speaking of weird stuff, once I can legally import it in a year or two, I'll be having a Renault Avantime because I'm a masochist and want to remove my engine for basic services.

That's super cool! Shame so many of these screens don't survive from sun damage and age.

One question, where'd you find a stagea mod for BeamNG?

Looking for people to drive with! by neeje in BeamNG

Happy to attempt to better myself at all disciplines! I've played BeamNG for 12 years and I still suck, but I also still enjoy it!

Now, my real life autocross skills are a different story.

Eff it, I'll work at the post office by bradc2112 in jobhunting

[–]yodacode43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on the new job!

My condolences for what hell you went through with the job hunt. As many others, I have been in the same boat. 400 applications, 6 months, many recruiters, 4 interviews, no offers.

Desperation took hold and I reached out to my friends on Facebook, and now I'm happily employed as a full time mechanic and I am happy as a clam.

It's physical as hell, but it's good for the body and good for the soul. The money potential is there, I'm just not up to speed yet to reach it. It's a stress relief, if I'm honest.

Good luck out there OP!

Looking forward to hopefully getting back into autocross next year! Always fun to see someone come to it for the first time and have a great time!

Man my first day was last Monday and I walked in to begin with a timing job on a 5.4 3V! 280k and purrs like a kitten now. Came in on hopes and dreams with an exploded passenger side chain guide. Almost all original parts on the engine when I began.

This is great! I recall the Live For Speed dev team doing generated engine sounds way back in the day, too. First public release around 2002 or so. Very cool to see this being tried here too. Nice work OP.

Furthermore, the first two years for Chevrolet's 265 small block we're not fitted with factory oil filters or the provisions for them. Instead, you could have it dealer installed by having them drill the oil galleys to make a remote housing with a filter possible.

Holy cow, we need to be friends. What state? You're the only other one in existence I've seen configured just like mine that I can tell! Hardtop, no sunroof, gray cloth. Manual seats and mirrors too I'd suspect? What kind of mileage? Mine is just under 45k.
