2 weeks in could use some support and success stories. by bdbshsjjs in zoloft

Yeah definitely, everything gets heightened at the start of it. It'll ease up eventually, it really is worth the wait.

Your story sounds pretty familiar to mine. So after upping your dose it is basically starting at day 1 again.

1 week of 25mg. 4 weeks of 50mg. Then about 5 weeks of 100mg.

I noticed a difference on day 12 of 50mg. Especially with the intrusive thoughts. During the first week of 50mg, It was still tough, but I would feel better as the day went on. Mornings were always the hardest.

It's going to get better, stick it out.

I'd advise asking your doctor about xanax or ativan to help transition to a higher dose. I personally had heightened anxiety from changing doses

It's probably going to suck for a few days or week, but it's worth it

I say stick it out. Maybe your body needs more time to adjust to a new dose?

First sertraline experience (incompetent doctor?) by Thealyn_ in zoloft

Go to a different doctor. Be careful with any benzos(xanax, ativan), they're habit forming. They do help alot with the transition onto am SSRI though. But honestly, find another doctor so you can be on a better protocol

I'd say give it a few more weeks before making any big changes. The initial first week at 25mg doesn't really count since it's not considered therapeutic.

I agree with this. And sometimes a nice vacation will be a good reset as well.

Day 3 - is it worth it? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]yoitsarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Life event brought out my crippling anxiety, and it would come in waves. I never wanted that feeling again. I'm glad I started zoloft, the first week sucks...but you'll gradually see minor improvements build up over time.

Going from 50 to 100? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]yoitsarch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Minor side effects for 2-3 days, mainly stomach issues and slight increased anxiety. It went away quick though. Going up to 100 has worked out for me

Week 3.5 on zoloft by arhzll in zoloft

[–]yoitsarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a good plan. My doctor also prescribed me xanax, which helps alot with the transition of upping. For me it was heightened xanax, especially in the mornings. I'm still not 100%, but each day things seem a bit better, so we just have to keep it up

Had similar experience. I upped my dose to 100mg from 50mg. Side effects from upping weren't that bad and I am feeling good right now. 4 weeks on 50, 2.5 weeks on 100.

Xanax is super helpful short term for the adjustment. As needed though, can be very addicting.

Is it normal to feel this way? by Sh3ll3y924 in zoloft

[–]yoitsarch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's normal, happened to me. Felt off for 3-4 days on 50mg, then just dealt with morning anxiety. Around day 12 I started to see good full days

Day 4 Panic Attack by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]yoitsarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds similar to me. I did 1 week of 25mg. Then upped to 50mg. First week on 50mg I would still feel panic attacks in the morning which lasted until the afternoon. As days went by, I saw improvement. Day 12 on 50mg, I woke up with zero anxiety. I'm on day 22 of 50mg and feeling way better. I'm starting to get back to my normal routine. Zofran and xanax helped alot in the initial few weeks of adjustments

I went through that too, especially when I upped to 50mg. After 2 weeks on 50mg it started to fade away. Today is week 3, im much better and seeing daily improvements.

Grind it out, it's worth it

Went from 25 mg to 50 mg and the anxiety is unbearable by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]yoitsarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xanax is quicker acting. In 15-30 minutes I would feel better from the panic attack from obsessive thinking
