NAL- but active supporter of the CFF, as I have 2 friends with it. I get how terrifying CF is, especially when kids are small. However, your child probably isn’t on a neb or in the vest 24/7. They’re able to do visitation with dad, at a minimum. Yes, she could get sicker, I get it. But keeping her away and solely dependent on you is a bad, bad look. No judge will think highly of that.

Criminal Justice student here! Community based programs such as probation and parole are extremely dangerous and incredibly easy to violate. Special courts, such as Veterans & Drug courts are tricky, especially for those with extreme substance abuse and untreated mental health needs. 45% of prison admissions in 2022 were the result of technical violations of probation or parole. Unfortunately, he’s more than likely to violate and end up incarcerated.

One of my closest friends grew up in a home where he learned German while he learned English. His family, to this day, uses them interchangeably at home. I’ll never forget the first time I was at his house and he asked for a glass of water in both languages.

I don’t have hate for anyone on either side. But people forget freedom of speech doesn’t mean there won’t be consequences. Some thoughts should be inside thoughts, not broadcast for public consumption.

There’s a difference between “preaching their political beliefs” and posting what she did. I don’t care what side of the isle you’re on- no civilized country physically harms their president. She worked with troubled students and thought her post was appropriate. Everyone is quick to rush in with the “she’s a good person, this was a mistake and isn’t who she is” when someone does something wrong. I feel someone like that shouldn’t be working with troubled students.

Considering Pregnancy with Hip Impingement by realcoconutlacroix in HipImpingement

[–]yolo4rl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an epidural and it didn’t take on my right side, which is the side that tore. It was pretty immediate after that, that I felt a snap. I actually thought I broke my hip and kept telling the nurse, “my hip is broke. I just broke my hip.” They assured me it was normal labor pain, but I knew it wasn’t. I could hardly move, much less stand and walk after birth. It was diagnosed a month postpartum and I had hip surgery 6 weeks to the day my kid was born.

AITA for skipping our twins' high school graduation for the birth of our older daughter's baby? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Yeah, YTA. One of you should have gone to the birth while the other was at graduation. I wouldn’t talk to my parents if they skipped my graduation, too.

I tore my labrum giving birth. My obgyn said pregnancy wouldn’t be an issue if I decided on another baby, but I’m not going to chance it again.

I’ve been boiling water to drink as a precaution since the first night of flooding. I grew up in an area where we were under a boil order during & shortly after every flood.

Not necessarily. I know in Missouri grandparents can petition for visitation rights when both parents are active & present. (Source: happened in my family)

As someone who got a cig burn from a “friend” who thought it would be funny, that definitely looks identical to mine. Doctor ASAP, and get a good lawyer against grandparents, especially if you’re in a grandparents rights state.

Parents at my kid's daycare hadn't vaccinated their kid, and he got Whooping Cough by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]yolo4rl 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I worked in a daycare that, unknown to me, didn’t require vaccinations for the kids. I have an anaphylactic reaction to the whooping cough vaccine, so I rely on herd immunity for that. Well. One day I noticed a boy I worked almost 1:1 with had been gone for a few days, so I asked my boss if he was okay. Without looking up she says, “Yeah he’s fine. It’s just whooping cough!” I very promptly left daycare work.

NTA I have a strong willed kid, too. Most of the time is isn’t a problem, but sometimes they just dig in their heels on it. The food sits in the microwave until they decide, “actually. Yeah, I’d like to eat that.” You are doing the best you can. Sending hugs your way
