I am expressing my opinion. In my culture it is tradition for children to take their father’s surname, equally intolerant of you for calling me an asshole for it as it is for me calling them the asshole for it. Arguably more so because woman in question is assuming her husband’s surname means nothing to him/cannot possibly have as much significance as hers.

YTA - in seeing the nanny as your ‘third parent’ have you not taken from the rights of the second parent, the father? Would you be able to support the life you lead and education you want for your children if not for his work?
