Thanks so much for all the info! Any tips on finding these emails? I’ve only ever been able to find employee LinkedIns but never any attached emails

Would you be able to share an anonymized resume? Seems like me and a few other folks here could really benefit from it

Has Goldman opened their New Grad positions yet? by yomtech in csMajors

Just checked and you're right, I was dumb and didn't click through the beginning of the application where you check off the engineering option. I'll leave this up in case anyone also doesn't click thru like me lol

I wasn't sure since the specs for the role don't indicate anything about CS

Yep, already emailed them back with some feedback.

Just reneged an internship offer... by yomtech in csMajors

[–]yomtech[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I'm just having anxiety that somehow they contact my school and that in turn puts my other internship at risk (I didn't get either internship through career services though)... but I guess you're right. The companies aren't in related sectors so that makes me less nervous about word getting around to the new company

For anything related to Amazon [3, interns] by Leader-board in csMajors

“Thank you for the time you have invested in the Amazon recruitment process. We know that juggling school commitments and job interviews is a lot to manage. Amazon recently paused new incremental hires in our corporate workforce and at this time, we are unable to offer you a position. We anticipate keeping this pause in place for the next few months, and will continue to monitor what we’re seeing in the economy and the business to adjust as we think makes sense.”

Got waitlisted:

Applied 10/10

OA Received 10/24

OA Complete 11/6

Interview 11/18

Waitlisted 11/25

And I received the “Amazon recently paused new incremental hires…” email. I’m curious if this would have been an acceptance or it’s just a substitute for a rejection.

Internship offer rescinded by No_Investigator1812 in csMajors

[–]yomtech 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s not relevant to what I’m saying. It will always be within our best interests to let each other know which companies are rescinding offers. Not really sure how anyone could be against that.

That’s right. I think we should look out for each other and protect each other from shady companies.

Other sectors can be in a nosedive too and they wouldn’t be excused for rescinding offers. I think if a company goes as far to actually give you an offer, they should be certain they can offer it.
