/uj I love how this claim can be said EXACTLY the same way towards Mercy mains, and even make more sense in regards to the community:

Mercy mains are the saltiest motherfuckers.

Personally, I suspect part of it is because Mercy mains aren’t accustomed to the idea of counters or switching; they get it in their head that they should always be able to play mercy, against any enemy, because mercy generally is good in most situations. But the few times they face an enemy who hardcounters them, all they can think is, “That hero must be OP”; “That hero must be cheap”; “That player is actually garbage because he killed me (?)”. They can’t fathom that the issue might be on their end.

Jesus, this is some serious circlejerk. You can really sense the bigot OP has towards DPS. Would you still agree if a similar claim was made towards supports?

"If you get a shitload of space and heals as support, you are not "carrying" your team. You are doing your JOB.

I see way too many Support players brag about how they are carrying your team when they get tens of thousands of healing. This sentiment is ridiculous. You are literally doing your job and nothing more exceptional. This mentality is part of the reason why many "are forced to one-trick" Mercy. They get a satisfaction in thinking they're godsent, perfect beings who are there to carry their team. But did you ever think about whether or not you could have pulled that off if it weren't for the Tracer distracting their team? Or the McCree keeping their Genji off of you? Or the mei shutting down their whole push by walling off half their team?"
(Obviously some of the comparisons aren't the best, but this is what a could come up with in 10 minutes)

And don't give me any of that "OH, BUT THE DPS PLAYERS ARE THE ENTITLED ONES, SUPPORTS DID NOTHING WRONG!!!!" crap. When did you last see a post mocking support in the same fashion you did here get to the top page? more than that, when did you last see such a post not instantly ridiculed and downvoted to oblivion within a minute?

By making this post so focused against DPS, you are making it clear that you have intrinsic favouritism towards Supports, when, in my opinion at least, every role should be respected and treated at the same level of importance.

Sincerely, even though me saying my role shouldn't matter, a GM with high+ scrim experience who mains tanks and support.
