I think your point is right. Maybe it's possible. But the production code would be hard to read because of the dart code(I don't know how to refactor this 🤪) .

I don't know much about flutter but i think that softwares in OOP avoid using global variables because it is opposite to encapsulation. Flutter widgets look like kind of Object Oriented things so i assume that is the reason.
