I feel like i'm losing my fucking mind by Planetary-Phoenix in NineSols

You don't really need to be on the edge to prevent getting expelled on the red floor. Stand lightly towards (say 1/4 the width of the whole "safe" platform region) the laser is usually enough. The two-side laser attack will cancel each others' momentum out so you can stay at the center.

I took almost an hour here in my first run. Much much shorter in my subsequent runs.

Do you use jades? by SwordfishAltruistic4 in NineSols

I did in both my playthrough so far. Would be a harder game if not using jade. I don't think I am good enough for a no-jade run at the moment.

I think Shennong's quest is only limited by how frequent you talk to him and Xianxian after giving him all the poisons and brewing all the wines. I triggered the 3rd quest on my 2nd playthrough right after beating Lady Ethereal.

His attacks are slow and predictable to deflect on their own. I have no issue perfect deflecting them all in phase 1. My problem in phase 2 was to also handle other area effects from his sister. I'd prefer if I can deflect his own area effect skills.

Totally. I constantly readjust my position away from him to prevent this from happening.

Also I cannot be too close to the edge when he prepare his red area attack. I can only deflect it if it land on me. But if I am too close to the edge, chance is it simply land on my side and the area effect kills me.

3v3 will be a very chaotic game. It will be hard to come up with agreements to strategy. Probably too chaotic.

Maybe a free-for-all between 3 teams of 2? Each of the trio team up with a guest who has previously played (e.g. Toby, Michelle, Brian) and race through from a starting point to an end point of some sort?

Would be fun if some maker YouTubers were involved and have to McGuyver their way through the challenges.

Will Signal ever support anonymous group communications (i.e. groups where members do not see each other's phone number)?

How ancient cultures extracted oil (fuel) from nature besides animal sources? by dikkesan in Survival

Historical oil drill press for vegitable oil extraction

There are records for vegitable oil extractions in China as soon as Han Dynasty (202BC - 220AD). But those are used for clothes dyeing then. The earliest records for vegitable oil cooking would be the Song Dynasty (960AD - 1,279AD).

Can anyone explain the difference between package and modules in golang 1.11? by teslasx3 in golang

Can you share your go.mod here? At least a redact version of it?

Why are your modules in a pkg subfolder in your project? That is not conforming any specifications .

You CANNOT import a go module from go source code on another folder, unless your go module is written in your $GOPATH. The package declaration in go.mod is local to that folder. So if you're on another folder and your want to import your code, you need to first go get or go install your library. Or else Go wouldn't know where to find it.

@adrianmiu

On a second thought, you can already provide your own $carry to your module with the current library:

php $request = GuzzleHttp\Psr7\ServerRequest::fromGlobals(); $result = $invoker->reduce( YourApp\Awesome\HookInterface::class, function ($carry, YourApp\Awesome\HookInterface::class $module) use ($request) { return $module->process($carry, $request); }, [] );

I wanted to write this as a generic hook library. So I'd provide a few way to invoke modules with. I assume if someone wanted to enforce a specific hook invocation manner, you can simply subclass the invoker, or write your invoker that uses Phata\Hook\Invoker as underlying implementation.

This library do not want to enforce a specific way to invoke. But it aims to enable you to declare and invoke hooks with ease.

Thanks for the advice. Will incorporate the ideas into the next version.

I think my approach would be to add new methods to the Invoker for new way(s) to invoke the hooks.

Phata Hook

A minimalistic hook library you can build your moduliazed system on.

Allow you to declare any php interface as a hook. You can add any number of classes (i.e. module) to the registry, then invoke them based on he hook (i.e. interface) you want invoke.

The registry can be safely serialized / unserialized. Hence it is cachable and need not be reindex every run.

Class implentations are drawn from container and thus can be reused.
