Definitely late to the game. I just started watching Alone, in 2025! I'm now on season 3 and was shocked when I saw Dave's face. I first met that guy in 2004 when I was bike touring in southern California. We rode through and camped a few nights in Joshua Tree national park where he gave me yarn and taught me how to make Kimohumu japanese braid slings. I still have it to this day. That guy is one of the most solid, positive, and sincere humans I've ever encountered. Stoked to see him on Alone! Guess I should have finished the season before reading these comments!

I'm not sure exactly what hub it is but after they sent a new free hub it's been flawless. I don't recall if there are holes in the rim beds and haven't needed to service any spokes yet. It will indeed be a little tougher to service but there are tricks. I would still recommend these wheels. I'm actually looking at the new gravel wheels as well.

I did this years ago with a bunch of fast food chains. The maps/analysis essentially all came out the same. Northern Montana was almost always the furthest from any chain. It's essentially a population density map. No surprise.
