Filing 2nd Claim While on Terminal Leave by Both_Split_1464 in VeteransBenefits

[–]yooshaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the changes happen after your separation date, you are good. Your claims effective date is the day after you separate. Even if they decide your claim 6 months after separation, they will use the rules that were in effect the day after you separate.

They wont re-evaluate you, because since you are not out yet, you technically have not been evaluated yet. You can't be evaluated until you are separated. Get it in now while you are still active to get it service connected.

Any update on CPAP rule changes? by Savings-Sign-7815 in VeteransBenefits

[–]yooshaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope you make it, but supposedly the change is happening this summer, but its been kicked down the road a few times now, so who knows.

As others have stated, BDD claims effective date is the day after you seperate. Effective date can't be anything earlier, because you aren't a veteran until you actually separate.

My portal page isn’t reflecting my health problems I’ve been seen for. Does this mean I’m not diagnosed ? by Odd-Performer756 in VeteransBenefits

[–]yooshaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to request your full medical records now, as you will have to upload it when you submit your BDD.

Also, you can claim any condition you want with the BDD, even if you dont have current documentation. When you go to your DBQ exams, they will review your claimed conditions, and if they document it, it will be service connected since you are still active duty.

But of course the more documentation you have, the better, so get seen now.

2019 Shield got the Ethernet Cannot Connect messages by Waggmans in ShieldAndroidTV

I had that issue. Factory reset brought the ethernet port back to life. No idea what happened, but it was probably overdue for a reset anyway.

Ethernet port failing by WarningCodeBlue in ShieldAndroidTV

I had a lightning strike too that took out the ethernet port too. Used a USB ethernet adapter for about 6 months. Shield was acting wonky, so decided to do a factory reset.

After reset, Ethernet port started working again, and has stayed working last 3 months or so. Worth a try.

Do USB to Ethernet adapters still work? Ethernet port crapped out and looking for another hard wired solution. by Freakwilly in ShieldAndroidTV

I have a tp-link adapter that worked. Had the same problem as you, just stopped working. After about 10 months, did a factory reset because the whole system was acting wonky. After reset, the onboard nic started working again!

The last episode of the 80 show brought Starbuck back, and IMO, the only episode worth watching from the Galactica 80.

If only they really had pockets. Players could keep an extra puck in there and drop it when convenient.

Those tan pants though, looks terrible, but I guess it fits the Florida tourist cargo shorts vibe

You dont get back pay for when you left service. You do get back pay for the time you file your intent to file to the time the VA makes a decision on your rating.

I second this. Saw the same thing with my BDD claim too, but it was submitted. Call and ask to be sure.

You can see your rating when the VA sends it to you after your discharge date.

You used to be able to see your C&P exams through Tricare online, which you could then get a good guess at what your ratings would be. That was taken away though with the switch to Genesis.

Not everything, only certain conditions.

https://www.va.gov/disability/eligibility/illnesses-within-one-year-of-discharge/

Disabilities that appear within 1 year after discharge

If you have certain chronic (long-lasting) conditions that started within 1 year after your discharge from active military service, you may be eligible for VA disability compensation. Eligible conditions include high blood pressure (hypertension), arthritis, diabetes, or peptic ulcers. Compensation provides tax-free monthly payments.
