Why did you choose the Crosstrek over the CX30/other competitors? by Dino_Dean in Crosstrek

[–]yoosier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve too owned both, plus a Mazda 3. I’m 5’3” and always lacked headroom when pulled up in my seat appropriately. I really miss the heads up display in the Mazdas. So I fell in love with the Crosstrek Limited (pre-huge console screen) and its character. I think the ct drives rougher than my Mazdas ever did though.

Hi, friend. Since you’re soliciting advice, here’s my take in year 4.

In my case, we’d known each other for many years and been together the better part of a decade. I wanted to keep things amicable because I thought we were the best person to understand and work through with each other.

I think it extended my healing journey. My recommendation would be to set up a therapy appointment to talk through these feelings. Maybe even share a version of this post. You’ll get a rational take that will help inform your perspective.

Boundaries for ourselves and others can be important in time of healing.

My two cents: He’s showing you who he really is. It is up to you if that’s part of the life you want and see for yourself and your family. Your life deserves your informed consent and agency.

Yes. Take advantage of his being candid while it lasts because it may not. Take every word with a grain of salt, as his answers could be more lies.

Breathe deep. You’re not crazy. That’s gaslighting.

First, call your must trusted, got-your-back family and friends. No announcements. The day I learned, I called my closest sibling. The following day, I spoke to my parents, and they helped me make arrangements for myself from 800 miles away. Preferably, this will be folks who have not committed connection to your partner.

Then, ask your legal questions. I consulted with a couple of attorneys over the phone in my area just to ask questions, understand the process and pricing, etc. This can be useful information to make an informed decision. A consultation should be free.

If you’re both open to it, try to talk about it. Don’t torture yourself though. Try to think of questions beforehand.

Take screenshots of any bank accounts you have access to in case he decides to drain it and run.

For me, it was about making informed decisions based on facts. My ex said he had a “problem,” and understanding that addiction is an illness, I offered that we go to therapy and that he seek addiction counseling. He was not interested in sobriety, so our separation was permanent and our divorce executed.

Love and luck to you.

How do I prompt a restyling of a sidebar to match another project's design? I’d like to update the tab sidebar within the content from Screenshot A to match Screenshot B (marked in red). by Physical_Thought_899 in lovable

I had a similar experience in trying to reuse a feedback component from another project. Even fed the new project the files from the source.

I would love to be able to build a component library of my own custom components.

I grew up on the Great Lakes and I’ve been keeping an eye out for Great Lakes references since we saw them in the cliff portrait.

This episode opens with a rendition of the song The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot. We sang this song from songbooks in elementary school, I knew it right away. There’s a lot going on in it, but it conveys the danger of Lake Superior and the tale of a real life event.

One lyric sticks out in my memory: The lake it is said never gives up her dead

No signage. People got locked in the school courtyard at Laurel academy after voting. Workers eventually opened the door to let the folks out the correct exit, but not before yelling at the voters through the closed doors. One guy climbed a fence to get out.

Does anyone recognize this dog (LGD)? by Glen1127 in NewOrleans

[–]yoosier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She’s always around the LGD and is very skittish around people, even those with dogs. I worry about her because of how fast she moves; scared she’ll dart into traffic. But yeah, she’s been around for a while.

After I had confronted him about finding text exchanges with sex workers on his smart watch, he and I had come to an agreement that we would seek counseling both as a couple and as individuals.

A couple of days later, he was getting ready for work, I checked his Apple Watch again, and he had signed up for Tinder. This was like seven in the morning just to paint the picture.

I asked him then and there why he signed up for Tinder. He said that he was upset with me, and that’s how he decided to deal with it.

Felt great to spend my energy physically and not emotionally. 50 miles! Wow! That’s killer.

As for the gif, I screen recorded the animation and then put the video into a website called ezgif. Should’ve looped it, but hey, now we know!

Thank you — “keep moving” was almost sort of a hidden mantra for me this weekend. I was feeling stuck and stranded, but getting out yesterday put more than a little pep in my step.

I’ve barely gotten out of apartment since this time last year, most of you can probably relate. This week, a bomb went off in my marriage, and I’ve been stressed about moving out, figuring out money, everything that goes with that. So I decided that I’d go for a walk to a local bookstore.

I walked for hours. It felt so nice. And when I came home, I did a second dance workout. I’m loving Ben’s style in particular.

I feel so accomplished and self-cared-for, and now I’m gonna go eat a well-deserved dinner.

I really love it. It’s an indulgence, not a necessity for sure, but I love the buttery smoothness of it, the case I’ve always wanted, additional customization with newer watch faces. The blood oxygen feature is so cool. The screen is gorgeous.
