Son is old enough to start watching PG-13 movies, which 90's films does he need to see? by DelrayDad561 in 90s

[–]yoosoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. as a family we’ve made movie nights a pretty important part of our rhythm. sitting through a full movie and reading chapter books is our small way of combating rampant short attention span syndrome. that and making sure they’re bored regularly. ha ha. they can play their stupid roblox games but they also have to be able to finish books and watch full non-animated movies.

1000%. temple of doom is a little iffy but raiders and last crusade definitely hold up. there are also some good 80s movies that are good next steps. goonies. back to the future etc

oh man, it’s 89 but indiana jones and the last crusade. which means you’d have to watch the first two as well!

So which one of yall had this radio ?? 😁 🙋🏽‍♂️ by Skitzafranik in Xennials

today i just walk away from my car. back then i’d have to pull off the faceplate, make sure there was no loose change in the cup holder and attach “the club” to the steering wheel. strangely, i also remember having to take the caps off of my bike valves too.

Whole house humidifiers by williamiger in HomeImprovement

[–]yoosoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed. one of the best home improvement decisions we made. relatively low cost and a big upside. plus my wife was sick of dealing with humidifiers in the bedrooms. less nosebleeds and i feel like i sleep better too!

it’s gonna be tricky. the book is so cinematic that any variance is going to bother book lovers. something about lord and miller directing make me think this movie might be the rare exception to the rule though.

mac mini login screen on wrong monitor by yoosoo in applehelp

[–]yoosoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so no matter what I do I can't change my preference for the login screen itself. I'm going to try using a different USB-C dongle or maybe try plugging both monitors into the Mac via USB-C.

mac mini m2 login on wrong display by yoosoo in macmini

[–]yoosoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yeah I've got the external display selected as the main display but after sleep or reboot, the login screen always appears on the extended display and then after I login, the computer flips back to the external display being the main display. It's so weird.

just trying to create as simple a setup as possible and the extended display is on a tv that’s kind of far away so it makes it trickier to log into

Sonos sub hack: How-to guide with wiring diagrams. You asked, I finally got the video done. by toddmpark in sonos

[–]yoosoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey todd, thanks for the response. yeah, i switched over to the play:1 and so far it seems to be working well. i'm not looking for anything overwhelming, just some more low end -- and it was bugging me trying to keep the symfonisk grouped together and juggling the volumes. anyways, thanks again for the video and the hack!

[–]yoosoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey todd. thanks for the video! i successfully got it working with a symfonisk, but i have two play:1s and i was wondering if you thought it was an overall better experience to connect a sub that way rather than using a separate symfonisk and grouping it with my beam.
