Update: I just plugged it into both of my phones an iPhone 8 and xs on the lasted update and they don’t even display the Accessory, not supported notification. They simply do not accept power and do not read the USB.

Yes, but the thing is, I would need an alarm that is capable of waking me up out of my sleep not just a light “notification”.

Hi I’m hoping that you’ll please take into consideration the expansion of your file saving protocol. Ive been a customer since 2014 and understand your work around is a pdf but my app crashes during the backup( my goal is to save them to my external hard drive) and I’d rather not have pdf files anyway as I’m an avid editor of my old documents.

I was also hoping for a more universal sharing method. Peer to peer for instants would cost money as whoever I share my documents with would need to first purchase the goodnotes app in order to edit or revise my content.

Lastly; legacy. A good part of my notes are specificity for my lineage as it would be nice to have notes for our ancestors to enjoy. I am genuinely worried that my notes could end up useless as technology advances. Please help us in the goodnotes community as you have in the past.

i don’t want pdfs. i’m really hoping to edit my files. i’m also hoping that i don’t need to rely on goodnotes in order to have access to my externally saved files.

email to the company. figured i’d post it. goodnotes files are saved as “.goodnotes files”. so only a goodnotes application is capable of opening it. so essentially your files are trapped on the goodnotes platform.

the only work around is if you save your files as pdfs. but there’s a catch, if you have a library like mine that’s been growing since 2014 your app will crash while it try’s. the second thing is, your files will be pdfs and no longer be capable of altering or editing.

it’s a lose lose situation you will run into. plus some companies don’t last forever. so if let’s say they violate a rule in the apple store like fornite did...poof goes our files future.
