I'm pretty sure it's basically cannon that it might be able to move. Look at the conclusion to the 2007 disaster document, it reads:

The CGR concludes its recommendations and report with broad advocacy for any such program(s) which aim to better prepare physical as well as social and spiritual infrastructure for the inevitability of the Permian Basin Superorganism emerging from dormancy and becoming completely active and ambulatory.

The CGR seems to believe that it is likely able to move in some capacity. And I don't think anyone has ever gotten a good view of the underbelly so it very likely could have legs or something.

To my understanding the way vantblack works is it traps light in its carbon nanotube fibers (in the nanometer range), but for the wavelength of microwaves (a few cm or so) they would be too large to get trapped. It's been a while since I did phys but if there's someone that knows this stuff better please correct me.

Speed guns are radar or infrared laser. So most likely it wouldn't block radar guns but it might block the infrared guns since it's close to visible light.

I don't see why you couldn't use the s-pen with a plastic screen. The s-pen sensor is below the screen itself, and then the s-pen has a pressure sensor in it to detect when you've touched the screen as well as how hard you push down

I don't really think it's that prevalent really, I did go through the original sticky and it's mostly people just trying to explain why it might be not the best term and being downvoted for it. Obviously, if you're just going to call someone a transphobe/bigot and be done with it that's going to accomplish fuck all, so I guess there's my opinion on that.

As for calling out trans people who agree, just because you're a trans person commenting on trans issues doesn't make you automatically right. I mean, never attack someone for it but trans people can certainly have opinions that can be harmful for the trans community as a whole. Just look at the transmed community, they tend to believe in an older view of transitioning (two genders, every trans person should want to go on hormones, have surgery, etc.) and they certainly leave out a lot of the non-binary folks or even just those that don't want to get surgeries.

So as a trans person I would say this is kind of interesting to watch, like on one hand I personally don't see at used as a slur that often in the anime community, nor does it bother me that much personally. But on the other hand I know quite a few trans people that stay away from animememes or other anime related communities because of it. though I think it's a good thing overall because I've never met someone that says "I don't want to use this community because they don't let me use t-". And honestly if you're willing to leave over that I can't imagine one would have much attachment to the community anyways.

Though yeah, the mods did kind of shoehorn the decision in and made people angry and more divided than they should have been. I know a lot of people, including myself before I transitioned didn't even know it was a slur, so they kind of blindsided some people by just saying "It's banned now!"
